Parallel 42 has completed the rollout of ChasePlane's latest update for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The update, version 2026.33.5.14, releases the new "Spotting" feature to all users.
- Added a new Plane Spotting experience with live nearby traffic, traffic filters, better aircraft names, aircraft details, runway information, flight phases, sizes, speeds, distances, traffic counts, and quick actions to view or track another aircraft.
- Spotting is a new experience that puts nearby traffic front and center, including aircraft from AI traffic packs, supported online networks such as Vatsim, IVAO, and SayIntentions. Native Microsoft Flight Simulator multiplayer aircraft are not supported due to platform limitations.
- Added automatic traffic spotting, so ChasePlane can help pick an interesting nearby aircraft, keep the camera focused on it, and adjust the view more smoothly while tracking traffic.
- Added richer world and airport camera lists with runways, gates, parking spots, airport viewpoints, more airport camera locations, and clearer grouping at large airports.
