    Beschreibung

    A fix for Lagos Murtala Muhammed International Airport DNMM by esosae. He did a great and pretty massive job with the airport. However there is a compatibility issue if used side by side with Africa Big Scenery by adilvr. You get a duplicate terminal and elevation problems. With this update I removed the duplicate and also cured the elevation problem with the new terminal 2 in the west of the airport. I also removed lots of trees that were growing out of buildings or on the apron and added some fuel tanks. Finally I removed the forest of radio antennas that Africa Big Scenery placed all over Lagos city. They were mostly placed in houses and I didn't find any of these on satellite pictues so I removed them.

    Please keep in mind that apart from the added detail, this is still mainly a compatibility fix so it will only work fine with Africa Big Scenery installed!

    This mod is compatible to the lately released DNMM - Lagos Murtala Mohammed Airport - Enhancement by Jaronics. Just throw the original airport, his enhancement and my fix into your commumity folder and don't change filenames so everything will work together fine.

    It basically changes static jetways for moving ones and removes lots of static aircraft so it's a matter of taste if you are better with or without.

     

    Installation

    Unzip the file into your community folder.

    Had the issues you solve with this file. Did not know it was available and asked the original creator. He did not know your file was available nor did he know of the conflicts. Thank you for this. I checked out your file with the others and it was all well.

    Great work that you have done, but I think you need to examine the whole scenery patiently before uploading it. There is a serious elevation issue when approaching runway 18L, it can mess up one's landing. Kindly check it out. I use your mod and that of Jaronics too. I don't use the Africa Big Scenery addon.

    Thank you for your feedback but no mistake on my part here. Please keep in mind that this mod is primarily a compatibility mod to make the airport work with Africa Big Scenery. If you are not using the latter, this mod is not for you and of course you will get elevation errors because I had to adjust the elevation to Africa Big Scenery. I can only do the one or the other. Then better just use the other improvement without mine.

    Checked it today. I realized I didn't have the latest version of Lagos. I updated now and I also get that elevation problem. I'll try again and see if I can resolve it. Weird, because I didn't touch that area at all...
    Also saw another one's update for the airport today but I guess it doesn't touch the compatibility issue.

    Good work! A worthy attempt, to be sure. I'm looking forward to the elevation correction (as my 787 just hit an elevation "wall" when approaching the gate,,.) :D

    Thanks a lot for the rating and your feedback! Where is that wall? Did I miss something? Can you send me a screenshot? Terminal 2 looked fine now or is it somewhere at the main terminal?
