    Beschreibung

    Scenery Update for Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport by AmSim. Tblisi, in some countries also known as Tiflis is the captial city of Georgia (former Sovjet Union). The scenery by Amsim depicts the airport rather beautifully but there is some detail missing as well as the cargo area that needs fixing because of a badly placed and untextured building.

     

    What you get in this package:

    • A corrected cargo area
    • Reworked fuel depot
    • Car shelters with solar cells and more cars in front of the terminal
    • The military apron with static helicopters, aircraft, trucks and clutter
    • Terraforming
    • Airports light poles with proper night lighting all over the place
    • Runway guard lights
    • Runway and taxiway signs
    • Added parking near terminal including fence
    • Added missing buildings in the airport perimeter like the VOR, checkerboard buildings, fuel depots
    • Removed static 747
    • Added conveyance area
    • etc. etc.

    Installation

    Unzip this file into your community folder. Most objects are Asobo default. Make sure you have all world updates installed.

    This fix works 'on top' of the AmSim scenery so you need to activate both at a time. This mod does not change any of the original AmSim files!

    The AmSim-scenery is available at simmarket and on the MSFS marketplace.

    I've noticed that the october 29 update has removed taxiway G.
    could you please bring it back? :)

    Taxiway G has never been part of my scenery. You are right, it is missing in the AmSim scenery. I experimented with it but was never happy with the results so I never published it.

    Really? I’m 100% sure I had this mod like a year ago and it had taxiway golf (with the AmSIM scenery)

    I'm pretty sure I never released it. Of course you can add a taxiway but it is then not connected to the default airport layout, so AI traffic will not be able to use it. Apart from that, as soon as I start the SDK, the taxiways disappear so it's pure guesswork to add a missing taxiway and to connect it properly. I had tried it back and forth but gave up because it took too much time.

    So weird, I even have a volanta tracking of me perfectly crossing
    That taxiway in 29 July 2025, and I remember seeing a “new” looking taxiway there that looked perfectly fine. I really hope you can bring it back, but at the same time. If it takes too much time for you then I don’t wanna bother you a lot :)

    Snoops, everyone that knows me knows that I have over the past 20 years have been flying in and out of Tbilisi airport back in the days of FS 2004, X, X Plane 11, MSFS20 and 24. This is the best centralized airport to fly anywhere Asia, Middle East Europe, Mediterranean etc. Thank you so much for the very long anticipated updates. The Military base looks like it is in the real world flat etc. Fantastic addon mate.

    Hi Alfred, thanks a lot. So happy that you enjoy it. Yep, flattening the military area wasn't that hard to do after all but everything remains a learning curve so I finally was glad to be able to fix it.

    Sorry, but how do I install it? I already have "amsim-airport-ugtb-tbilisi," "Z_amsim-ugtb-tbilisi-fix," "Z-Tbilisi UGTB Fix," and now "Z-Tbilisi Update." Is this correct, or do I need to remove something?

    Always delete the last version before installing a new one. Sorry, I know I changed filenames over time. The one starting with amsim... is the original scenery. Should also be identifiable by filesize as it certainly is a few 100 MB or more. My fixes are just a few KB. My current filename is Z-Tbilisi Update. You can delete the two others starting with z...

    Whenever I move on to 2024. But I'm in no hurry. Feel free to test it. I don't know if there already is a 2024-version of the AmSim scenery. If you give me feedback on possible conflicts, I might be able to solve them now.

    Any chance of making one for Amsim's UDYZ Yerevan? It's pretty awful, especially the night lighting and the look of the main terminal at night. I contacted Amsim and they claim that they're working on a new version, but that was months ago and I haven't seen any evidence of it yet.

    Sorry, I don't know what is yours and what is amsim's in the script, but there are too many inaccuracies and generally poor workmanship!
    If you want more reality, then:
    The airport signs do not correspond to reality! There are no signs on the apron (asphalt), on the grass they are incorrect and should be much further from the edge of the taxiway, ~ 20 meters!
    There are no lamp posts near taxiway "A"
    There is no hangar near taxiway "B".
    The barriers of the old runway are much smaller and are installed only on the right side of the taxiways, if you look towards the runway.
    The wig-wag runway protection lights are also too big and should be on the edge of the taxiway, and the airport signs near the runway should be larger and located further from the edge of the taxiway.
    The military base should not be on a hill.
    There is no construction crane anymore.
    There is no heliport.
    There is a fence around the perimeter of the control tower over a larger area. The taxiway markings are chaos!

    Hi and thanks for your extensive comment. My aim here was basically correcting the obvious mistakes in the original scenery using library object. Of course there will still be things left that are not 100% but I may take a look at further improving stuff. Do you have any pictures for reference? That would be helfpul. When I added extra objects I usually used their default size. I can't really tell from Google Earth what size they have and if it's 100% life-like.
    I know the hill in the military area is not there in real life. I already worked on that. Unfortunately the surrounding area is far higher in the sim than in real life so any change will result in a cliff either right next to the airfield or further away. So I returned it to it's original look. I might give it another shot.
