FS2024 Section

V1.1   01 Dec 24

• Stage 1 conversion to FS2024. Fixes missing buildings, corrects terrain and textures.

• More general fixes and replacement of missing objects.
• More terrain fixes.

 

V1.3   10 Dec 24

• Changed the terrain pathing references for the new terrain engine to read the surfaces correctly into FS2024.
• Made some small additions while I was in the editor
• Works well in career mode!

 

V1.4   30 Jan 25

• Final conversion to FS2024.
• Removed and replaced popping objects.
• Fixed up the last of the ground textures.

 

V1.5   26 Jul 25

• Added extra lighting, including the runway, so that this airfield can be used in the sim at night.
• Made some small corrections and additions.

 

V1.6   03 Dec 25

• Added the proper FS2024 Helicopter Parking for cold/dark starts. Look for Helicopter Parking xx
• Re-inserted missing lines on the main highway.Corrected location of some of the standalone trees on that highway.
• Final check before SU4.

 

V1.7   29 Dec 25

• FS2024 version update.
• Replaces/substitutes many missing objects caused by SU4. Too many to list.
• Fixes lighting issues also caused by updates in SU4.
• All of my scenery is now being checked for this total mess they caused us Dev's.
• Adds FS2024 Helicopter cold and dark parking.
• Adds taxiway exit lighting from the main runways.
• Some other minor fixes and additions.

 

V1.8   24 Jan 26

• Fixed a nasty bump in one of the parking taxiways.
• Moved the porta-loos by the construction site to make way for a new parking spot for Say Intentions AI.

FS2020 Section

NOTE: Your sim must be up to date with all world updates installed. You do not need any photogrammetry installed,  just the base world updates as I borrow scenery from those resources. This project makes extensive use of the UK2000 Scenery Library which is free in the Marketplace. Please make sure you have it installed.

 

 

 

Welcome to Pukaki Airport as I continue my mission to update New Zealand. This is a small GA airport but I have still put over 50 hours of work into it. Based on the latest sources I could find, it is packed full of detail as usual. See the screenshots and video tralier for more.

Pukaki Airport is a small airport in the Mackenzie District of the South Island of New Zealand. The airport is located about 3 km north from the township of Twizel and is 284 km from Christchurch. It is nestled on the edge of one of the most beautiful lakes in the world, the turquoise-blue Lake Pukaki.

 

V 1.1

Features include:

• Over 200 hand placed objects, vegetation and trees.
• The construction of a new hangar.
• Open hangars to spawn into.
• Heli-starts for chopper pilots.
• Empty lots for sale.
• Custom textures and markings.

 

V 1.2  (08/07/2024)

• Added shrubbery along the main road and around some of the buildings. This adds so much to the realism.
• Added more objects and animated people to the buildings and fuel area.
• Added the weather station on the approach to runway 33.
• Added a new babe to your hangar (Parking 4). She is drunk and asleep on the sofa, start your engine(s) and wake her up!

 

V 1.2  (23/07/2024)

• This airport now contains a workaround for the MSFS Helipad bug that prevents cold and dark starts. I have placed a small parking spot under each of them numbered 100, 101 etc. These are not connected to the taxi paths and can be chosen as an alterative to their matching Helipad so as to achieve a cold and dark spawn.
• Mowed the MSFS grass textures down to 1/3rd of their stock length. Makes a massive difference especially for taxiing and Helipads.

 

V 1.3 (06/09/2024)

• Placed all taxisigns in their exact position and made them nice and straight and even with each other.
• Replaced the stock yellow lines on the apron with my own custom ones so that all lines and apron markings are exactly the same yellow colour and don't look fake.
• Made some other minor corrections and additions.

Tip:
Don't forget to reload your Little Navmap scenery library now and then in order to keep your new airfields accurately portrayed within it. This way all your new taxiway designations are updated among other things.

LNM automatically searches through your community folder during the process which runs in the background so you can keep simming.

From the menu bar of LNM:  Scenery Library | Load Scenery Library | press Load. When finished, press Use Database.
