    ENSH Svolvær lufthavn - Helle
    A beautiful regional airport in Lofoten serviced by Widerøe dash 8.

     

     

     

     

     

    NOTE: This scenery will only receive critical fixes as it is being replaced by a completely remade payware version released on the Marketplace in November 2024. The new marketplace version is rebuilt from scratch to 2023/24 references through hundreds of hours of work and a tour of the actual airport.     Asset pack info:

    This airport uses my asset pack. It can be downloaded here: ENxx asset pack

    Features:

    • Trees removed and Biome changed in the region
    • Custom 3D models with PBR textures
    • Custom PLASI slope guidance lights. 3D modeled and correctly increases pulse length as you approach the correct 4.5 degree glideslope.
    • Updated taxi, apron layout with custom apron markings
    • Custom grooved runway and runway markings.
    • Terraforming including correct runway slope.
    • Custom runway and approach light setup:
       - Runway lights correctly placed and paired edge-center.
       - THR and END lights correct as wingbars only
       - Reasonably correct approach lights layout
       - Circling lights (2 sets of 3 for circling approach to 19)
       - Balked landing guidance lights. (Go around if you haven't comfortably touched down by the double yellow lights).

    I really like your work on Helle airport - it really looks stunning and very much up to what it looks like in RL. I bought on market place. Well worth the money!

    I will buy everything. Please revise for 2024. Please also offer other airports for Norway. Please also revise Evenes, Ørland_Airport, Bardufoss Airport for 2024.

    All your projects (exept ENBO) are menawhile updated for FS2020 compliance to 2023 the Service- & World Updates. I know from my own SDK-work, thats many(!) work. So have many thanks for this :-)
    I've installed & will give Bodo a visit. (You only may get feedback, if i'll find something worth..)
    Many thanks from Warstein in Germany for the update of this wonderfull designed place to fly.
    BTW: I'm from Germany and last time i visited Norway with my Wife and my Motorhome in 2019. Funny to find out, that i visited all the Citys, where you made a Scenery for. Now i have again visited them due to the last years often with my Simulator and - yes, each time it feels again a little, as it was in 2019 :-)

    Hey absolutely love this scenery and love flying around on "kortbanenettet". Will we ever see anymore of these small airports be made, such as Hammerfest or such? You're very talented! Thanks for making the sim even more immersive!!

    Great scenery! But is it something with the scenery, or something else on my system? I don't get SIDs for this airport in the GPS.

    I filed a bug report for this a few months back. When the airport changed runway designators last summer the departures and arrivals fell out of the sim's navigation data.

    Amazing, looks even better than the payware. Only one concern. GA traffic park at the terminal now where the Wideroe aircraft normally park. This is no problem right now but as AIG is in stages of preparing and testing the Dash 8 Q100−300 series we will probably soon see Wideroe at ENSH. Could this parking be changed to GATE instead of PARKING perhaps that way it will be reserved for commercial traffic

    In my experience GA is just as willing to park at gate type, but I agree it's an issue and I'll look into it. Edit 2023: Yes, I will change this. I'm currently recreating ENSH from scratch as payware and the basic ground fixes will be ported over to this freeware as well.

    I downloaded 4 Norwegian airports from you today at Flightsim.to (with donation).

    ENBR, ENZV, ENBO work fine - thanks for the excellent work.

    Unfortunately, MSFS hangs reproducibly when loading ENSH airport. I suspect an incompatibility as a result of the last updates!?

    Perhaps you can still eliminate this error.

    Thank you for the report. Are you on SU8 or SU9 beta? I haven't been able to reproduce this, so it's difficult to troubleshoot it. Could you please try it with only my airports in your community folder in case it's another specific addon causing the incompatibility? Or DM me a screenshot of your community folder.

    I currently use SU8 and in the community folder over 180 addons. These are divided into several presets with the tool MSFS Addons Linker. Have today repeated the test only with the helicopter hpg-airbus-h135 and ENSH Svolvaer, and the flight simulator ran fine. Then again with complete community folder the same game. Also this time everything worked (!?)

    I don't know what the problem was. Sorry!

    What a nice work ! Thank you.
    Now, my dream is to find the Svolvaer town and harbour in photogrammetry.
    Or hand made. It's a so great typical place.
    My son went there past year from Belgium.

    Awesome work, indeed a beautiful airport at a spectacular location in the most inspiring landscape I've ever had the pleasure of flying in. Keep up the excellent work, whichever is next on your list will be on my harddrive.
