    Beschreibung

Cadete FAP Guillermo del Castillo Paredes Airport (IATA: TPP, ICAO: SPST) is an airport serving Tarapoto, Peru. It is owned by CORPAC S.A, a government organization that oversees the management of Peruvian airports, but it is run by Aeropuertos del Perú (ADP) S.A, as a concession. It is the main airport of the San Martín Region, located in the Amazon, and is used by many tourists as a jumping-off point for trips into the jungle. The airport is currently served by LATAM Perú, Star Peru, JetSmart Perú. SAETA and Sky Perú. By now, the airport is also connected to Chiclayo (SPHI) and Iquitos (SPQT) via direct regional flights operated by Star Peru airlines.

Known as the City of Palm Trees, Tarapoto is located in the department of San Martín, at the foot of the Blue Mountain Range and at the confluence of the Cumbaza and Shilcayo rivers. Its typically tropical climate, the joy of its people and the proximity to Lamas and Sauce, make it an important tourist destination in the Peruvian jungle. With a population of 187,320 inhabitants, its strategic geographical location allows it to be an important trading point between San Martín and Loreto. Among its main economic activities is the cultivation of products such as coffee, cocoa, rice, bananas, papaya and beans. Tourism also plays an important role since Tarapoto is a destination of tropical forests, waterfalls, such as Huacamaíllo or Tununtunumba, and towns made up of a mixed population of natives and mestizos such as Lamas. Visited by people who come from all over the world, Tarapoto is the perfect setting to rest, eat delicious food, experience adventure and, above all, discover the wonders of nature.

The runway length of 2,255 metres (7,398 ft) does not include a 350 metres (1,150 ft) displaced threshold on the northern end.
The Tarapoto non-directional beacon (Ident: TAP) is located on the field.[3] The Tarapoto VOR-DME (Ident: TAP) is located 9.0 nautical miles (16.7 km) south of the airport.

Hello my friend - thank you for your efforts on this great scenery. If you have the time, it would be great to see an updated version for 2024 to remove some tall trees around the airport area which make the approach to runway 34 quite dangerous! Nonetheless, I can approach high and cut the power for a fun landing. Thank you again
