Located on the northeast corner, Port Hardy is one of the most important airports on Vancouver Island. It is also home to Wilderness Seaplane which continues to serve the region with a fleet of Gruman Goose'. It has an ILS with glideslope on Rwy 11 - dial in 109.5 for the localizer and glideslope. It has a new terminal building in which the roof resembles the cross-section of a wing.
I spent some wonderful days up in that area at Telegraph Cove - 40 miles south, but have been a fan of this wild and beautiful part of Canada for years. See the artwork of Emily Carr for instance. I wanted to incorporate some of the artwork of the coastal indigenous peoples -Kwakiutl First Nations -so I included them as highlighted in the terminal building. (dugout canoe and exterior facade) Also included in the departure lounge is a mural, which depicts the airlines, pilots, AMEs and the names of over 200 pilots who flew from this base since 1945 was painted in 1981 by Jack Schofield, a pilot for the then AirBC operation on this North Island airport.
This file is large, and I apologize to those who prefer something smaller, but there are many, many, custom items and although I do not use 4k, neither do I feel that lower resolution looks very good at all, especially large items such as buildings. I suggest using LInker to manage your community folders when not using them for a particular mission.
For some reason, the custom ground textures are giving me problems and I think they maybe somewhat unstable - not sure why. Kindly let me know if you get any pink areas.
Sandspit Airport and some water aerodromes are not too far off on the project list. And so, once completed will make a very picturesque tour from Port Hardy to Sandspit (Queen Charlotte Islands) and then on to either Port Renfrew or Ketchikan Alaska.
Ramp 20 starts you from inside the large hangar.
ILS 109.5
Much thanks to Dave's People, Dave's library, FP Fillion avions, Windy Things, and of course for my airports it is a good idea to have Mazer Models in your community folder.
Also, you should download the livery for Wilderness Seaplanes:

Amazing love for Vancouver Island. :). Keep it up, thanks for this and your other project including Sandspit….
Question: Are you able to do some of the other fields on Vancouver Island, maybe even the challenge of YYJ?

Thanks!
Victoria is a beautiful airport but it's a bit too large for me, and also there aren't enough images available to do it justice. Additionally, I purchased a very fine version from "Simaddons" (he specializes in Canadian airports) I highly recommend his site for Canadian airports. simaddons.com
I'm about to release Tofino Seaplane. It is a small project but I did add seaplane parking spots and a so-so way of docking your seaplane. (until Asobo get something better)
I tried to contact Powel River city council for diagrams of their new terminal building and design but so far they haven't returned my call.
Such is life.

Flew the 310R into Port Hardy at dusk, and then on to Sandspit. Beautiful scenery, but Sandspit does need help. Flew on to Masset this AM. It needs even more help!

Yes both of those airports are better than 75% done. Thanks

Muskoka Airport CYQA
Muskoka Airport is the gateway to the recreational region of Gravenhurst. Lots to do in this part of Canada so come on down. Beat the traffic and take a plane from downtown Toronto Island. This is one airport that you will revisit again and again.
