Hey y'all, Papierfranz here,

we have reached v1.0, and it is a big step towards a more realistic Cologne, with a big part of the city added to the already existing buildings.

New in this version:
- An even bigger Part of the City Center added as Photogrammetry (please read the installation infos further down if you have a previous version installed)

Attention: The new area has some LODs but can still tank your game if you have a low spec PC. It will also increase your startup time of the game.

Right now the buildings and areas sadly don't support "real" Night-Mode and only some degree of LODs (as I just started learning about the tools). Big shout out to Flying Theston on YouTube for his guide how to implement buildings and whole parts of cities from Maps.

Installation:
You have the choice between 2 versions of the city, they are all part of the download:
Version 1.0 (Huge part of the city as photogrammetry, big impact on performance)
Version 0.9 (Single buildings only (no photogrammetry of areas), low impact on performance)

Step 1:
If you have not installed a previous version you can skip this part and go to step 2. If you have installed any previous version please delete the following folders in your community folder first:

Step 2:
Choose the version of your liking (tip: start with version 1.0. If that one makes problems on your end try the troubleshot below or do step 1 and pick the other version) and insert the folders inside your community folder.
So, f.e. if you choose...
... version 1.0, you should insert 5 folders into your community folder.
... version 0.9, you should insert 21 folders into your community folder.

Step 3:
Done. Enjoy the flight.



Troubleshoot:
If the scenery is not showing in your game try opening your "content.xml" and add these lines of code:




Your Content.xml file should be here (at least mine is): C:\Users\YourName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator
