    IMPORTANT

    So for those people having trouble with landmarks not showing, please navigate to your content.xml file. For me I am installed through Steam and this was located in:

    C:\Users\yourusername\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft Flight Simulator

    If it's not here then it may be in:

     

    C:\Users\"username"\AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_"some random numbers"\LocalCache\Content.xml

     

    Edit the content.xml and ensure it contains the following:

    Save the Content.xml

    Great mod,cheers.Being a Nobber from up the road ,first thing I did was fly over Gloomfield road dropping oranges on the pitch.Childish I know but had to be done ;)

    Thankyou for making this. It was my favourite place as a kid and your additions really brings back happy memories. Maybe once the SDK is up to scratch, someone can add the illuminations :D

    Stunning mod. Really amazing work.

    I have requests, though, rather than fixes!

    1) Can you add lights to the tower (and any others that I didn't notice) so it shines out at night (and I don't inadvertently slam into it). I assume it's lit up at night, but I'm not a native Blackpool...ian(?), so if it isn't then great.

    2) Could you add the Blackpool Illuminations as an extra which we can turn on and off at our discretion?

    Amazing work though, really.

    Hi sorry to ask a basic question but I am not too sure how to edit the xml file and don't want to corrupt it. I am not seeing most of the features like the tower etc.

    @stewart1 First of all, close MSFS2020. Then find the file. Open it up in notepad (easiest if you don't have any other coding programs for XML). Remove any lines that reference "any" of the items above, for example, I had to delete "blackpoolstadium" to get rid of Bloomfield Road. Depending on how many mods you have, this should be relatively easy to spot. Now copy paste the above from the first "" bracket. Save the file. Open up MSFS and fly out from Blackpool - you should be able to see the changes from the runway in external view to be honest.

    Hope this works.

    Thanks for getting back to me I managed to use Notepad ++ in the end and got it to work by copying in all the missing places as described in the above text. Thanks again.

    so do I just drop ALL folders into \community? No way to have the blackpool landmarks in ONE single folder to keep it tidy?

    If not, add it. This should fix it.

    Le tower is the only one not loading for me. I've reinstalled the mod a couple of times. I did have someone else's version but deleted that before installing this. :shrug:
