This is an upgrade to the default KACV airport in MSFS. All modifications are done using Microsoft's SDK, custom objects, and library objects.

Humboldt County is on the coast between San Francisco and Oregon and home to a number of historic coastal communities. This airport is also known as California Redwood Coast-Humboldt County Airport, and receives regular airline service, mainly from within California. The airport has some limited GA facilities but is also home to a Coast Guard base. It has a dramatic location on a bluff that fronts a long and impressive beach. In recent years there have been a number of facility improvements at the airport, I have tried to include most of them.

• Custom airport objects including the airline terminal, county hangar, new ARFF facility, and USCG base
• Custom airport static aircraft such as CHP C-206 and USCG helicopter
• Custom area landmark added - Holiday Inn Express
• Added weather stations, nav facilities, GA hangars, ramp clutter, fencing, industrial areas, streetlights, expanded parking, and landscaping
• Added 'ARCATA' field identifier on taxiway Golf
• Added solar farm near runway 32
• Terrain modification to the airport property
• Terrain modification to the coastal bluff and beach/ocean interface
• Modified vegetation including more trees and shrubs
• Parking and taxiways were re-done to replace the default. There are four airline gates, several GA parking spots, and a helicopter spot at the USCG base

Notes

1. Night lighting has not been added to buildings at this time - I will include in a future update. The ramp area is well-lit by added lights though.

2. At user request I have included many trees near the terminal parking that were removed since 2025.

3. Custom objects are designed to give a general impression and have some imperfections here and there.

4. I did limited testing in MSFS24 and did not find any issues. Please let me know if there are.

5. Some Microsoft WU dependencies are used. You will need KCGX and ESSA installed to see sign and structural objects. Some other objects are also from other Asobo/MS sceneries.

6. The fuel tank object is from my Gold Beach (4S1) scenery

Known Conflicts

The solar farm included conflicts with the following product: Mamudesigns Powerlines and Solar Farms

Installation

1. Unzip the .ZIP file 
2. Place the indicated folder in your MSFS "community" folder in your MSFS installation location.
