Really well done on the textures, but I'm hoping that we can get a version with a "clean and pristine" cockpit. It's a bit too worn out for my personal taste. (I know wear and tear are realistic. I'm not disputing that). But I personally prefer to fly a plane as if it's on its maiden flight. So a fresh aircraft that's just came out of Toulouse, and I'm pretty sure, that in real life a brand new fresh aircraft will not look worn out like it's shown in the picture.

Except in real life they won't be making any more A380's -- in other words the ones that exist are showing such wear as displayed by the team and they have my full support in doing exactly as such giving priority to realism first and foremost. I feel nothing but awe and butterflies seeing this preview ! Its the ultimate addon !

Really hard to wait. It looks brilliant. The big bird belongs in the air.

I know.. But they would have existed as a "clean" cockpit at some point in its life right. I'm pretty sure the even the last A380 being delivered to Emirates were not at that worn state in the screenshots at the moment of its delivery. Can you imagine buying a car like someone has driven it for 999,999 km and let it rollover to 0 km, then sell it to you as brand new.
I'm merely asking for an alternate state when cockpit was in its pristine state when it was newly delivered. It's not fictional if it's suppose to look brand new if the aircraft is new, right? I dunno. I'm just a neat-freak I guess. I'm the kind of person who disinfects my own car every week to make sure it's free from fingerprint marks, dust, and I polish everything to make sure it still looks new even after using it for years. But that's why we're here, right? I'll probably just mod the texture and clean it up myself.

Oh wow this is absolute beyond EPIC!! Oh there is also an animated low-pressure stage turbine in the exhaust of the turbine core. Attention to detail - love it!

Nice! I love the option of having some real clean CGI-style cockpit, or some ultra-realistic cockpit with some wear and tear freely to choose from. Sometimes I am in the mood of taking out some real old second-world-livery for a ride with a worn cockpit, sometimes I want and need the pristine clean sci-fi Star Trek Enterprice NCC-1701D look inside the cockpit....

I'm not sure why it's "insane". There are people who and teams who spend years on mods for other games and then release them for free. There is actually a Battlefield 3 mod that has been worked on for the past 7 years and they just released it. It's completely free! Do you know why? Because it's not on a flight sim game. These paid mods on flight sims is completely out of control!!

Working with flight simulator 2020s sdk is hard enough for answering your questions. Even making a simple custom scenery is not that easy in this sim and you may get lots of errors and crashes during making it! right now FBW is working on the Airbus A380 and they are deep learning all the aircraft documents and systems and they are doing thousands of coding, modeling and texturing all for FREE ! Simulating an aircraft is not a simple task and they’re doing it and spending lots of time making that aircraft all for FREE That’s totally INSANE ! Remember, freeware is free to use but not free to create.So appreciate freeware contents and those people who spend their times and abilities making you contents whatever it’s a freeware or payware content.And please don’t compare a game with a simulator.

It might be completely different products but we're still talking about people spending their actual time creating mods. Skyrim, Fallout 4, Battlefield games, the list literally goes on and on and on. Thousands of hours and in some cases years and years of work for these mods and they are ALL given away for free. How about racing sims? I cant even count the number of free cars and tracks that people have put countless hours in to make them just right. All for free! The flight sim community needs to wake up and realize that a single aircraft shouldn't cost twice the base price as the entire sim (game). FlyByWire is doing this right!!! They are making aircraft because they LOVE doing it and they love the community they are a part of. Not because they love the almighty dollar. I don't really have a problem with some of these modders charging for some of these extremely well done aircraft. But $10 or $15 is plenty to charge per plane. Some of these amounts are completely getting out of hand!

FINALLYYYY

You need to understand that a LOT more work goes into developing a near-study-level aircraft for a flight simulator than some DLC for a video game. There is a much larger learning curve to developing an entire aircraft and all of its systems and behaviors just right than there is to any 3rd-party mod for other games. You were already told not to compare them, yet you continue to do so. You have absolutely no idea just how much time goes into developing these aircraft, nor how complex they are. FBW is not setting the standard for freeware aircraft; they are an EXCEPTION to what we have for free in MFS. The work they do for the A320 and A380 is purely out of the kindness of their hearts. That is not something to compare to a company of programmers and enthusiasts whom have replaced their full-time jobs with payware-quality projects, and deserve to be paid so that they may put food on the table for their families. It is perfectly reasonable for dev groups like PMDG and Fenix to charge for the time and effort they put into their projects. Their work shouldn't be free or even cheaper just because FBW is doing such a good job as a freeware dev group. You take their work for granted. Look to them as a privilege and not an entitlement.

@Defender1970 It's insane because this aircraft is going to be free, and not cost 80 bucks like normal detailed mods like this do. Also, don't discredit FBW because they put out mods faster than your Battlefield 3 team. They have a process, and you clearly can't handle the fact they are getting more attention.

It sounds incredible, but I would like to know, and I think many, when is the A380 FBW going to come out? we want to test it, I would like a date (not exact) but an estimated one for the unloading of the plane itself.
