The Asobo ATR 42/72-600 for Microsoft Flight Simulator represents the first entry in the "Expert Series," aimed at delivering high authenticity and detailed simulation. Developed in close collaboration with Aerosoft’s Hans Hartmann, this add-on provides an immersive and realistic experience for simmers interested in regional turboprop aircraft.

The ATR 42-600 and ATR 72-600 models are equipped with an advanced glass cockpit, a functional Flight Management Computer (FMC), and a weather radar. One of the unique features included is the 'Hotel Mode,' which allows the right engine to run without spinning the propeller, thus powering the aircraft's systems on the ground without the need for a ground power unit. This attention to operational detail enhances the realism and functionality of the simulation.

Visually, the ATR models are meticulously crafted, featuring 4K PBR textures and a fully explorable virtual cabin. The high-wing design and distinctive "Asobo Sheen" ensure that these aircraft are visually impressive within the simulator. The detailed exterior and interior modeling reflect the real-world design intricacies of the ATR family. The ATR 42-600 comes with three liveries: ATR House Livery, Air Saint Pierre, and Silver Airways. Meanwhile, the ATR 72-600 offers five liveries, including ATR House Livery, Silver Airways, and Air Tahiti. These liveries add a layer of customization and visual appeal for users.

The ATR series is designed to be versatile, suitable for various roles such as commercial passenger transport, cargo, and military applications. With excellent short field performance, these aircraft can operate out of a wide variety of airfields, making them practical for different flight scenarios.
