For a while now I've offered my friends a recorded flight in a VR headset and I've been impressed by the reactions! For many of them it's an eye opener and the almost universal positive comment is how real it is, and yet even in high adrenaline flights they are excited yet relaxed. Some do feel a bit giddy if they're expecting g-forces but unlike a real flight they can simply stop the flight.
So... I would like to propose a new category in the library, shared flight recorder files. The flight recorder program is already here on flightsim.to , and the files are manageable sizes and very easy to use in the program, and as long as a chosen aircraft is in the same category as the aircraft used in the recording it can be substituted. For instance I recorded a scenic flight over my city in the C172 and then chose the Optica in playback and from a passenger's point of view the flight was no different.
The files and flights would be targeted towards VR headset users, but normal 2D setups also find it an interesting experience to be flown around by someone to just enjoy a flight as a passenger.
If there's already a category that could host Flight Recorder files I'm also happy to upload a trial package, my only reservation is that it might be overlooked or ignored if people are looking for something entirely different, such as in the flight plans category.
