🇨🇺 [PREVIEW] MUCF – Jaime González International Airport, Cienfuegos, Cuba – Coming Soon
Hi everyone,
I’m excited to share an early preview of an upcoming scenery I’ve been developing for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024: Jaime González Airport (ICAO: MUCF) in Cienfuegos, Cuba.
Cienfuegos is one of the most overlooked airports in the Caribbean when it comes to quality scenery — there is currently no payware or detailed freeware version available for MSFS, so this will be the first dedicated, high-fidelity recreation of MUCF on the platform.
What to expect:
• Custom-modeled terminal building with accurate facade, signage, and the airport’s signature blue stripe
• Hand-painted/custom textures (no generic library reuse)
• PBR materials with proper glass, metal, and concrete shaders
• Authentic ground details: ramp markings, taxiway signage, local ground vehicles
• Built using the official MSFS 2024 SDK from the ground up
Current status:
The scenery is in active development and progressing well — terminal modeling, texturing, and signage are largely in place, with lighting, ground equipment detail, and final polish still being worked on. Screenshots below are from an in-progress build, not the final release.
I’ll be posting more progress updates as development continues. If you’re a Cuba/Caribbean aviation fan or just enjoy flying into smaller regional airports with character, this one’s for you.
Feedback and suggestions are always welcome — let me know what you’d like to see featured (GSX support, specific local liveries, etc.)!
✈️ Stay tuned for release details.
