    Locher Airfield (LOCH) Ramp Fix & Enhancement for bmw969 scenery - Image 1

    Beschreibung

    Locher is a small beautifull airfield located in the Italian Alps.

    There is a great scenery from bmw969: https://flightsim.to/file/1811/locher-sarentino-airfield-loch

    But for me taxiways were crooked and impassable, probably because of some wu and the terrain nearby seems empty and uninteresting.

    So I decided to repair and improve it and that's what I came up with.

    Make sure you have the BMW's Loher installed, it's needed for the scenery to work!

    Scenery comes with:

    • many terrain repairs on the airfield
    • corrected forests around the airfield
    • stones all over the nearby river and on the slopes of the mountains
    • some improved roads
    • bushes, trees and other objects all around the airfield
    • enhanced terrain on the approach
    • corrected powerlines

    And it all takes up little disk space!

    Works with and without Troglodytus DEM and mamu powerlines.

    Don't change the filename! There should be 4 Z's at the beggining for this addon to work properly.

    Excellent scenery, for this very challenging airstrip. I made a video, to highlight your attention to detail, as well as your superb craftsmanship skills. Thanks so much. I wanted to fly my Carenado Pilates PC-12, but this company will NOT fix the high idle problem, with this plane.     Many thanks for continuing to update this excellent fix. Indeed, all the terrain issues have been nicely dealt with and it is a pleasure to fly in and out of this iconic airfield once again. I notice the following with my settings:
    A few original objects missing...static aircraft, flower pots, cows, etc.
    Adjacent creek is dried up and the little bridge is covered with bushes.
    Minor details, I know, that do not detract from this otherwise fine work, just an observation.
    PS. I'm using default mesh.

    I confirm, everything is default, but the bridge, cows and red biplane have disappeared, as well as the stream along the entire runway.

    I'm still getting the cow herd across the bridge. I think the creek water level may be too low now, I see puddles in some places.

    Hi, thanks for commenting. I did not change anything with water and honestly idk how to fix it. Looks like I cannot place water on slope like that, it simply doesn't appear. About cows and and that red plane - I just delated them cuz i haven't seen them in the available irl videos and they didnt look very good to me. But if you like them, I can bring them back. just let me know

    Frankly, Starbart, I'm ok either way with those objects. Just wanted to be certain I wasn't missing any objects that were meant to appear. Understood about the creek. Oh, and thanks for leaving in the doggie and ladies at the picnic bench; I've found them to be fun, reliable paying passengers and have flown them everywhere. Just one more thing I've noticed is the rock borders on the cliff side of the taxiway appear 'see-thru' and not 3d. I realize how hard it is to fashion these things on MSFS slopes. Again, as it stands, I love what you've done here.

    Hi, I have trees on the taxiway leading up to the runway, and inside the buildings and on the asphalt. The power line is also a little broken, but I guess that's as good as it gets? Are the mountain sides supposed to be bare?

    Thank you, I'm glad you're still interested in upkeeping this one-of-a-kind airport. I wanted to post a screenshot here but for some reason it's not going through. Maybe I can PM you some. I made sure to disable any global tree / seasons mods because I know those can mess with vegetation at airports.

    When making this mod, I used bijan but I don't really think it caused the issue. You can send me some images to bartsomiej.wardega@gmail.com I'd really like to see that from your side. Thanks for your interest in the project

    Indeed, using Bijan made no difference for me, the tree is still there. I emailed you the screenshots and exactly which mods I enabled. Maybe we can sort this out and post the solution here for other people, in theory it should look the same for everyone with the same installation and mods selected... What bothers me the most is the bare mountain sides I'm getting. This is on Ultra settings, I think everything else is default, just world detail may be at 160 or something that but that should not affect trees this way.

    Great that you brought back this great airport to the sim.
    I have the same issue like some others , vegetation like humanity is wiped out from the area.
    Any tips how to remove them?
    Edit: As sort of miracle the vegetation disappeared all of a sudden, earlier I deleted rolling cache even changes the base map, game fully vanilla except the LOCH and still trees everywhere even growing on the roof.
    Watched a tutorial how to remove vegetation startup the sim my virtual chainsaw running idle but the trees are gone.
    Did feel a bit disappointed about it, in my mind I was mental and intend to cut trees like a madman. ;)
