Sydney Scenery Fix for MSFS 2024
Transform your flyovers of Australia’s iconic harbour city with this comprehensive scenery enhancement for Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024. The Sydney Scenery Fix addon dramatically improves the realism and visual coherence of Sydney by carefully updating three key components: water, trees, and terrain.
Key Features
Enhanced Water Realism
Reworked shorelines: improved geometry and textures along the harbour edges, bays, rivers, and beaches for a smoother, more accurate coastline.
Better reflections & clarity: lighting, wave simulations and ambient reflections updated to reduce artifacts, eliminate unnatural borders, and render water surfaces more authentically.
Tidal and depth shading: water coloring responds better to depth and underwater relief, giving more natural gradients and realism in shallow vs. deep areas.
Improved Vegetation & Trees
Tree positioning & density fixes: trees re‑aligned to correct auto‑placement errors (e.g. on rooftops, roads, non‑soil terrain), more realistic distribution in parks, bushland and suburban zones.
Updated tree models & textures: higher fidelity bark, foliage and canopy, with more variation to reduce repetitive patterns.
Correct species matching: replacing generic trees with species more representative of the Sydney area (eucalypts, palms, etc.), especially around landmarks and natural reserves.
Terrain & Elevation Corrections
Heightmap smoothing & correction: improved terrain elevations in hills, cliffs, valleys to avoid flat spots or unnatural bumps.
Improved ground textures: blending between roads, pavements, fields, and natural terrain refined to reduce visible seams, mismatched tiling, or abrupt transitions.
Airport and landmark integration: around major airports and city landmarks, terrain adjusted so that runways, helipads and cityscape foundations align properly and integrate with surrounding terrain.

3. Move the "aviatordesign-sydeny-scenery-fix-aviatordesign" into your MSFS 2024 Community Folder
