Wanted to try this and had to buy the Cowan H125 again because I had it via marketplace. It was worth trying and this is amazing to fly, thanks for this mod. Since I'm flying Airbus H120 IRL this has become my favorite MSFS helicopter immediately (as there is no good H120 in MSFS). Tao's 500 is great as well but 2nd because I'd like one closer to the Airbus Hs. Donation incoming.

PS: The Paypal button does not work ("This organization's account is inactive."). Directly to your email works.

Thank you so much for your support and kind words =)
I'm delighted to know that a real pilot has it among their favorites.

I'm currently working on the next update. The goal is to fly the machine according to the Airbus figures in their manual, in addition to new features and a bunch of fixes. I don't want to release it before it's been thoroughly tested, hence the delay.

PS: Unfortunately, I never got the Flightsim.to link to work. Nevertheless, the direct contribution via Paypal worked perfectly, so I'm very grateful. Thanks! ;)

!Great news!. Could be possible add a "yaw string" like asobo H125 include?

Not in this update, but I will check for the next ;)

I planned the release this weekend, but unfortunately, I found some issues that will need 2 days days of additional work.

Fyi, this will be the biggest update so far. And honestly, I think the bar has been raised beyond what's offered in the payware market to date.

    More exciting upgrades will follow.

    Stay tuned!

I completely agree with you. Since installing this mod, I haven't flown any other helicopter because, for me, this is the only one that offers a real piloting challenge—especially during the final approach and landing, where it is vital to follow the correct procedure and avoid entering a vortex ring state....

To give you an idea of the level of the work being done: after the next update—to cite just one example—the fast cruise tables will match within a 1–2 knot margin of error for any weight, altitude and ISA conditions. All other performance figures will achieve that same level of accuracy, including Torque, Ng and TOT.

It isn't finished yet, but it’s close. The wait will be well worth it... :)

Great mod! Thank you so much! However, I’m also having an issue with the cyclic returns to the center position whenever I change the collective lever position :(
P.S Aileron and elevator axis is assigned

Rebuild your layout.json. Also, check if you have duplicated commands (cyclic). What sim version 20 or 24?. Test with SAS-OFF in any case

Thank you for reply! Yes, I’ve done all of that, I updated the layout file and checked all the axis assignments. In fact, the cyclic still snaps back to neutral even if I move the collective with the mouse in the virtual cockpit, without touching the collective axis on my joystick at all.

I’m using MSFS 2024. No FFB, I also tried turning SAS on and off, as well as trying its different modes, but unfortunately that didn’t help either.

And I have exactly the same issue with the R66 and your wonderful mod as well :(

P.S I went through the comments and found a post by Senpaino_H describing exactly the same issue. I followed the exact same steps he did, after first doing everything from your recommendations and the readme, but unfortunately nothing has helped so far.
The cyclic still snaps back to neutral on the roll axis with even the slightest change in collective position.
I really hope you can help me figure this out, because even with this issue, your mod is absolutely excellent.

I will try to look into it for the next release... but no promises since it is very close.

(Probably I will DM you for troubleshooting)

Hello. With the H125 Realism Mod, my controller LT/RT triggers (Rudder Axis Left/Right) no longer recenter the pedals when released. They stay at the last position, almost like Tail Rotor Increment/Decrement. The same bindings work and recenter correctly with the stock CowanSim H125 and, in fact, every other fixed-wing aircraft and helicopter. Is the mod incompatible with split rudder axes, or is this a bug?

Split rudders not compatible, sorry. Will look into it in a next update.no promises though

how can you fly both with DHM and the realism mod? As far as I know DHM only works with marketplace edition and realism mod does not work with marketplace but just with direct cowansim download?

It's explained in the UserGuide (mine), please check.
You just need to grab the sound package from a msfs2020 installation.

My cyclic is "snatching" back to center repeatedly in low-speed translational flight. For the last few updates, I thought this was related to some of the effects (VRS, etc.), but after I finally got around to disabling them, I then realized how much this was affecting my ability to maneuver in a high hover.

EDIT - solution: Need to assign the Aileron and Elevator axes to my cyclic. In addition to (or en lieu of) the cylic axes. Maybe this information should be up front and bold in the manual and on this page?

Yes. I added it to the UserGuide -Installation instructions.
Also I pinned a message in the chat with the solution.
