Ciao, Airport Handling has been bought out by DNATA, you were correct until a few months ago, but DNATA acquired the remaining 40% from SEA Aeroporti di Milano

GSX VDGS - Gate 511 problem

GSX (all versions) Fix: A docking system could appear at the wrong height, sunk into the ground or floating above it, when the scenery was still loading around it. The height is now measured after the terrain underneath has settled, instead of at a fixed moment after the display appears, which on a slow-loading airport happened too early.

Hi, this problem occurs at many gates; could you tell me if it's caused by GSX or Aerosoft?

You must disabled the Aerosoft VDGS BGL file in the folder, if you use GSX.

777 cargo parking, none available. it should be on the spots to the side

Can you confirm the profile is installed correctly because I can see the loader are in their default position, rather than what I have customised, also half of the stand in cargo city 700 are not modelled, only graphical representation has been made by Aerosoft, so not much I can do with GSX.

Yes it is installed correctly. How else would it be installed?

I am trying to troubleshoot based on what I see, so then if everything is good can you give me more info so I can recreate? Many Thanks

    Thanks for the Profile!
BUT: You're changing the Refuel Side on the Aircraft and that is not a good Design. It is something defined in the Aircraft Profile so it shouldn't be changed by the Airport Profile!

Ciao, Handler script takes care of it without interference to the aircraft itself, it’s just a visual thing, As done in MXP Refuelling on jetway side is preferred when the airline uses bridge boarding.

How can you call something not interfering when you override something that is not the Domain of the Airport Profile?
The Refuel Location is defined by the Aircraft Profile. It IS interfering with what GSX internally, the Aircraft Developer or the User sets for the Aircraft. Especially when other Apps try to interface with GSX and the Aircraft and build on the Defaults set by GSX' internal Aircraft Profiles (or the ones provided by the Developer) the Interference becomes even greater.
Changing that on the Fly in the Handler, makes it impossible for every native or external Integration that the Side was changed and adopt Service Calls accordingly.

I really appreciate your Effort and Work to make the Airport Profile as realistic as it can be. But we're still talking about an Addon in a Simulator that can only work in certain Ways and has Limitations.

@Fragtality, right I got you, now then, have you experienced any issues at all? Because following multiple testing, I didn't have any complaints or bug manifest.

If this is the case, I am more than willing to correct them and provide a more robust solution.

Should this not match your expectations, I apologise for the inconvenience, please feel free to modify the profile to your own taste

Yeah, I encountered it as Issue while using the PMDG 777(F) in Conjunction with Any2GSX. The internal GSX Profile and therefor the 777 Plugin (in A2G) default to the Refuel Location on the Left/Stair Side. Which for A2G means it handles the Stair Calls differently to allow Stairs and Refuel to be active at the same Time on that Side. So the Airport Profile had interfered with the Flow/Calls for Stairs & Refuel.

This Difference in A2G might be removed in future Builds, some early Tests with the new GSX Vehicle Paths & Checks seem to allow Stairs & Refuel to happen on the same Side. But for the Moment it still acts that Way. (Still have to wrap my Head around the new/first GSX WS API ^^)

But in any Case, I still believe that Airport Profiles shouldn't override Settings especially Positions in the Aircraft Profile. The Aircraft (and so its Profile) is basically the 'Avatar' of the Player so the 'Level' shouldn't change where Things are gonna be attached. Also when it is not a Custom/User Aircraft Profiles but a (Aircraft) Developer-provided Profile, it would also mean that such an Airport Profile would change Stuff the Aircraft Developer had envisioned differently.

A Fix/Workaround was easy for me, since I just quickly removed the respective Lines in the Python File. But the 'Average Joe' GSX User might be confused ^^

Thanks for your Understanding! I really like the Profile, keep up the great Work :)

Ciao, am I the only one that is unable to operate the jetways? I tried everything but I always get the "gate has no jetway" GSX message (MSFS2024). Thank you!

P.S. I already repositioned my aircraft after spawning. This is not an issue with this custom GSX profile but with the scenery itself. Just looking out for help anywhere I can. Grazie :)

Unfortunately if it’s scenery related, It has to come from Aerosoft, GSX doen not control Jetway data.

None of the heavy gates fit a 777? It's all too far forward from stop lines.
