    Beschreibung

Porto Venere is a town and comune (municipality) located on the Ligurian coast of Italy in the province of La Spezia. It comprises the three villages of Fezzano, Le Grazie and Porto Venere, and the three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto. In 1997 Porto Venere and the villages of Cinque Terre were designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. The village lies at the southern end of a peninsula, which, breaking away from the jagged coastline of the Riviera di Levante, forming the western tip of the Gulf of La Spezia. At the end of this peninsula are three small islands: Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto; only Palmaria Island, which lies directly opposite the village of Porto Venere beyond a narrow strait, is partially inhabited.

    • The Church of St. Peter, consecrated in 1198. It was built over a pre-existing 5th-century Palaeo-Christian church, which had rectangular plan and semicircular apse. The new part, from the 13th century, is marked externally by white and black stripes.
    • The Romanesque church of St. Lawrence, erected in 1098 by the Genoese probably occupies the site of ancient temple dedicated to Jupiter. The church was damaged by a fire in 1340 and by the Aragonese attack in 1494, and was further restored in 1582.
    • The Doria Castle with the walls around the historic center.
    • The Grotta dell'Arpaia (now collapsed), known as Byron's Grotto, from which the English poet Byron swam across the gulf of La Spezia to San Terenzo to visit Shelley in Lerici, in 1822.
    • The medieval nucleus of Le Grazie is set around the 14th-century Church of Our Lady of the Graces; nearby is a medieval convent which once belonged to the Olivetans and the remains of the 1st century BCE Roman villa of Varignano. Finds from recent excavations at the villa are held in the Antiquarium della Villa Romana del Varignano in Porto Venere.

The water, at very high altitude, may flickering if you observe the model from far.

    Hello, thanks for the scenery.

Only tidbit, is that it could likely use some more color correction to blend better with the surroundings. As you see here, the border is quite visible https://imgur.com/a/xP3cxUt

    Thanks again!

Thanks, I know but for the moment I can't do more than that. I don't know how... Any advice?

Personally, I haven't looked into it, so I don't know the technicalities, but for instance, RazorRay has done a lot of Tuscany like Pisa, Lucca, and so forth. His photogrammetry fits rather well with the scenery, so it may be worth asking him if he has any pointers. Someone also released 5 terre yesterday and they said they needed to do additional color correction, so they may be looking into the same issue and teaming up may be advisable.

The only thing that comes to my mind is to fix the model with PhotoShop, but yesterday I tried and I couldn't. I'll try again. RazorRay was the one that helped me create them at the beginning... bye for now e thanks for your review

Looking forward to Cinque Terre very much! Thx
Then only Lerici and La Spezia would be missing in the area.
