    Beschreibung

    Lancaster Airport (KLNS) is located in Lititz Pennsylvania about 100km (60 miles) west of Philadelphia. This General Aviation airport serves the city of Lancaster and surrounding community in south-central Pennsylvania. The field has two runways (one with an ILS). Several FBOs are based at KLNS. This addon is current as of September 2024 (after visiting the field for their annual airshow) and includes new construction (one hanger wasn't complete so I used some "artistic liberty" to depict how it should look once finished). All buildings are custom modeled using Blender and Adobe Substance.

    As with my other airports, all 3rd party addons are optional. These add a lot of detail and life to the airport and are recommened.

    Installation:

    Drag and drop into your community folder. Built using the MSFS2020 SDK so the same file may be used with both MSFS2020 and 2024.

    Love your PA airports. Wondering if any interest in revising my home airport (Franklin County Regional N68) if I send you photos? I have pondered trying myself but can't get motivated to try.

    I don't know when I will get back to creating new airports as I am quite busy working on updating my current projects for MSFS2024. I'll keep N68 in mind however.

    I have started work on a 2024 rebuild, but it may take awhile due to optimizing each building as well as the airport environment for 2024. Hopefully something will be ready in a few months.

    Beautifully made airport. Really a gem. However, couple of minor issues: runway markings to the 08-26 runway are not correct (mentioning 8-8 at the start of runway 8), some misplacement of taxi signs, and a double windsock. A small overhaul to fix those would be great!

    For MSFS2020, can you make the main terminal appear / pop-up at a further distance? I can be landing and then taxiing in and not see the main terminal until it pops up when I am almost in its immediate ramp area. All other buildings are visible at least on short final.

    I am starting work on an MSFS2024 version and the terminal LODs are a top priority. Too much detail for the new LOD system!

    Can you create versions for both sims please? This way it is much more clear. Look for example here

    You can add a download button per simulator or per version. Right now I dont know if I should download this update for MSFS 2020 or it is not needed or worse it will break things because it was changed because of MSFS2024. Thanks.

    This version is built using the MSFS2020 SDK with changes made to work correctly in 2024. So the same file can be used with both. At some point I may rebuild in MSFS2024, but only if I want to add features not available with MSFS2020.

    Looks fantastic! You even got the brand new hanger in there on the west side of the airport, next to the Aero Tech maintenance hangar.

    Tried it in MSFS24 as well. It technically works, but doesn't look great. LOD issues, taxiway lights too bright, etc. Looks beautiful in 2020.

    One thing: the "Attention Pilots: Taxi slowly..." sign you have by the ILS hold short at rwy 8 is in the wrong spot. It should be in the grass directly in front of the new hangar, just off to the right of the taxiway leading into that parking area for the Aero Tech planes. Small detail, I know.

    This is great though. Been waiting for ages for a good LNS rendition and this is finally it. Also been enjoying your RDG as well. Thank you!
