    Gibraltar Terrain Fix (for default Asobo LXGB) - Image 1

    Beschreibung

    With World Update XVII, a much better terrain for Gibraltar was introduced.
    HOWEVER, the default Asobo airport LXGB still has it's rather ugly looking handplaced rockformation.
    Even in MSFS 2024 :/

    This mod removes that to show the new much better terrain in it's full glory.
    The mod also fixes some trees, etc.

    In 2024 looks perfect at day, but at night there are some weird lights on the rocks.

    Thank you for the clear distinction between MSFS2020 and MSFS2024 versions. If Asobo keeps their promise and MSFS2020 will get the newest bing imagery as well in 2025 we will have same issues with this Gibraltar rock and MSFS2020 players will need the so called version 2.0 as well :D That will be a mess. Looking forward to it.

    My setting in 2020:
    4k, everything on Ultra, terrain details 150, not changed at 400 and UK installed. Is anything overlaid?

    No idea but it's not a problem of the mod. The mod removed what it should remove.
    It must be some other issue.

    That looks correct, it's just VERY low res in your case. Looks odd... but the mod seems to work correctly. It removed the strange stones from the default airport.
    But I don't know why the terrain looks so strange.
    Is your graphics settings very low? What is your terrain setting?
    Set everything to ultra and double check. If it looks good now, then it's your settings.
    If not, then there most be something wrong with MSFS2020. Also, make sure you have the UK world updates installed.

    Thank you for the fix. I installed it in 2020, but I can't see any improvement! What do I have to do? I can't find version 1.1. Thanks.

    TIP: For anyone that uses Samscene3D Gibraltar Scenic Life and you want to see the cable cars then rename the folder theoli4d-gibraltarterrainfix to r-theoli4d-gibraltarterrainfix. The r- prefix ensures that that this addon loads alphabetically before the Samscene addon. Then the cable cars will not be hidden in the bushes.

    This is a great mod. I have been to Gibraltar several times so I know exactly how it should look.The Rock in the sim always looked awful compared to real life. The new photogrammetry is a great improvement but was masked by the horrible default LXGB airport. This addon does what Asobo neglected to do to address the issue and it is a mystery why they did not fix it themselves having gone to the effort of creating photogrammetry of Gibraltar in the first place.
