    Douglas DC-3 - Trans Canada Air Lines - Image 1

    Beschreibung

    Trans Canada Air Lines started using war surplus C-47 after the war and throughout the 50s, when they were slowly replaced by longer range, faster and bigger airplanes such as the Lockheed Constellation, expanding the airline reach, until in 1964 the airline was renamed as Air Canada.

    Just a heads up that your liveries are pointing to outdated G530/430 instrumentation for the MSFS 2024 retrofit version. I was able to edit the panel.cfg and get it working properly.

    2024 has updated to V2 of the WTT 530/430 and the new paths are:
    htmlgauge00=NavSystems/WTGNSv2/WT430/WT430.html
    htmlgauge00=NavSystems/WTGNSv2/WT530/WT530.html

    Nice repaint! Especially like the detail on the exhaust manifolds. Nice work on the dirt effects as well. One critique would be the registration on the bottom side of the wing...I think what should be a hyphen looks more like and underscore...looks better on the top side. Overall, very well done!! Thank you!

    HI Jamespejam I am a bit confused by your last reply.. I made a request for a livery for Starways C47 G-AMRB in the old colours.. ie,darker blue through windows.. smaller name above windows..and white rudder.. I am sorry if there is any confusion,, I probably put the request in the wrong place. The reason for wanting RB in old colours is that RB never lived long enough to wear the later ones, for she crashed in 1956. on a positioning flight to Renfrew at Largs, and the later livery was applied to the rest of the fleet about a year later, I hope this makes sense, I like her in the later colours, But she should really be in the former.. Can you do..
    Regards Erik..

    Douglas DC-3 - American Airlines Flagship

    The SN 1920 was ordered in 1937 and is a "pure DC3" survivor since it was on civil service throughout WW2. It was in service with American Airlines until 1947, distictively being a plane that Eleanor Roosevelt flew in many occasions (she would pick the seat in front of the door, to be the last to board and the first to leave). It also depicted many pictures and artwork of the time since its relatives were serving in the war. In 2004 it was located in Virginia serving as a spray plane. The work to bring her to the original glory took 18 months, and now she is the oldest original DC3 still flying, and is kept in mint condition by the Flagship Detroit Foundation.
