Pitts Challenger II [lite] - Image 1

    Beschreibung

f7 Simulations presents: The first "SERIOUS", non study level and free addon.

In honor of the famous airshow pilot Sean D. Tucker who retired last year, I decided to create the "ORACLE" Pitts Challenger II.
The aircraft uses the asobo default Pitts cockpit but features a custom exterior and flight model.
It is the "facelift" the Asobo Pitts needed for so long.
Not just the exterior model is modernized...also the flight model is highly custom and makes the aircraft way more capable.

A highly detailed Challenger III is in development and if you want to support my work, please check out my payware product(s) on iniBuilds.
The sky is calling. Stay safe and have fun!

    Features:

    • Custom flight model
    • 400HP Engine
    • Modern prop physics
    • Custom exterior model
    • Fully animated
    • High resolution PBR textures
    • RED and on fire!!!
    • Vegan

    Coming soon:

    • Smoke
    • LODs
    • small additions and texture improvements

This is by far the best Pitts available for this game! The Detail, modeling and flight characteristics are the most accurate I have come by. I have Every Pitts offered and available for MSF2020, and none of them fly as realistic as this one does. I am not one to just fly around site seeing. When I fly on the game I go for full aerobatic routines. This plane makes that possible, while others fall short with reactivity or going into an uncontrolled roll at the top of some maneuvers. Can not wait for the full version to be released! 10 out of 10 already!

Hi, this plane is awsome, but will it be updated anytime soon?

Can anyone help me with the instructions on how to do a normal spin, a flatspin and an inverted spin in this plane in msfs2020 I cannot do any of the above ,and I have seen it done in some videos, but
    I can´t do it

Excellent, real funny Pitts, and aesthetically better, the only maybe "problem" compared with the ASOBO Pitts, is the small constant right turn when high power, but easily corrected with the opposite aileron trim binding and trimming it a bit during flight, that I guess the IRL Pitts has aileron trimming, and is more real this behaviour in the flight model in this Aircraft and its more powerful engine I suppose, and I miss too the stall buzzer.

This is what I was searching yesterday, the problem is that in MSFS online maybe other users that not have this model watch a mooney aircraft or a tubeliner?, if yes a pity, and then I prefer still the default Pitts, and then also would be genial to add this in some .cfg online? configuration, like it was the default Pitts or include the modified files directly in the default Pitts from the Community folder?.

I am going to test it in some hours, I enjoyed really yesterday the Pitts, though I missed more power and the capability of to do some acrobatic manoeuvres that real Pitts do, and I didn´t find the way yesterday some close to those acrobatics like flying laterally hahaha.

I miss something too like this for the S1, testing it yesterday it was sadly less powerful an maybe, more nervous?

i love the plane sooo much i want to make my own livery... but i can't find the original livery file... would you please tell me which file it is? I really do love this plane.

This mod is just a "trial" and doesn't support liveries. A full Pitts Challenger III is in development and will be highly customizable by the user. But that's at least half a year away.

Thanks for that nice contribution, it seems the speed gauge disply wrong speed.
    f

The speed is displayed in miles/h and not in knots. I checked and it displays the correct speed for me.

No Parking brake? under idle plane wants to creep?
    f

Yes that is intended. The real pitts doesn't have one either.
You can set the parking_brake value to 1 in the systems.cfg under [BRAKES] if you want to activate it.

Really nice. I was able to perform a hammerhead and some snap rolls.

Lovely model. Thank you for your gift. Two things I notice, it has no parking brake ? It start rolling immediately after the loading screen. Is it really that nervous with the controls ? Funny it is more manœuvrable then my F18.

It does the same for me but I have the impression that it is something new with some sim update. Of course the Pitts is very powerful and will start rolling even with throttle at idle. It seems to me that these powerful aircraft now all show the same behaviour. In that case I bring the plane to a halt with the regular brakes and then I'm able to apply the parking brakes.
The new behaviour seems to be that the parking brakes are turned off of the plane moves the slightest bit on loading in. Starting cold and dark you shouldn't have that problem.

The real pitts also doesn't have a parking brake, so the behaviour is realistic. If you want a parking brake, just open the systems.cfg and set the value to 1.

They are extremely maneuverable in real life, especially at low speeds- big supermaneuverable jets get their ability through power and thrust, and the pitts does the same except being much lighter and more wing area
