Kwikflight B2 Flight Dynamics Rework - Image 1

Beschreibung

This is my rework of the B2 flight dynamics to make it behave... normally. Best way to put it. Enjoy it.

There is a readme pdf included. You must absolutely read and follow the first page in there if you do nothing else. Every comment etc will be ignored if you fail to read that 1 page.

Installation.

Go to your msfs community folder and then in there:

Community\kwikflight-aircraft-spirit\SimObjects\Airplanes\kwikflight-aircraft-spirit

move/rename/backup the following files in that directory:

ai.cfg
engines.cfg
flight_model.cfg
systems.cfg

Place the 4 above named files from this archive into said directory.

Removal is just replacing my files with the original ones.

You must use all 4 files or none. Do not mix any of them up with others. They come as a 4 pack. All 4 or none must be used.

That's it.

Any chance you'll be looking at the B-1? The flight dynamics are atrocious.

hi there I must ask, the b2 is using a ton of fuel even at 45000 ft. I am burning 22,000lbs per hour at 4000 there is no way you can get 6000 nm with 7 hrs of fuel at 470 knots. my question is will you mod fix this? am i the only one noticing this :)

should not be possible. it will burn around 3200 per engine at that altitude at the most. if anything it will burn less than its supposed to as i was aiming for literal 6600nm range. i reached guam many times from its home base as i was tuning it.

check to see if you didnt miss replacing the engines.cfg file

hi pilomatt, im unable to replicate that particular issue. Idle (and hydro pressure at idle etc) was lowered (by very little) in my edit as part of the whole engine curve and ground physics.

i use the darkstar soundset or even the f18 one as i find them less ear killing. I've tested with other models sound packs and cannot replicate either.

It could be your throttle control curve that could be doing it. I have a similar issue with the fenix320 if the control points aren't set precisely as it likes them. Best guess i can give here atm.

Engine control has always been iffy with this plane and it has nothing to do with anything ive touched; i've had issues where 2 engines wouldnt start sometimes. ctrl-e seems to get it going reliably enough after apus are on (and sometimes those would refuse to turn off....). When you are using the VC buttons you have to do a particular order and wait a bit or 2 engines wouldnt start. That's a gauge issue. The plane does not have custom programming over stock game but it does combine 4 throttles into 2 for the logic of engine control.

I'm noticing when you bring throttles to idle, the engines play the shutdown sound file, and also prevent you from shutting down engines in the flight deck. Engines will run as usual.

I am aware of the "wall" at mach 0.85
Update will be issued soon as TMS one has been delayed so more work is due on this one as there is time now. I am currently in the process of testing the adjustments to drag. Once i like how it all plays together i'll issue an update for those who really want to go faster than .85 (and kill their range)
