    Beschreibung

    A high-quality version that should not tank fps as I have used LODs for the whole thing. Bolte Bridge will be done separately as that has it's own texture issues to sort out.

     

    3 LODs of 79 sections so 237 separate exports, textures have been adjusted so the green fits in and there is less blue to the whole thing.

     

    Any issues give me a street address and other details and I can try to fix them.

    Very nicely done, no tangible impact on frame rates that I could notice. Works fine for me in SU6.

    Weird, not working here, have tried re-downloading. Thing is I can get the Melbourne park and Albert Park scenery working?

    this is my very first free-ware scenery download & works really well, no impact to FPS. I can confirm it works perfectly on FS2020 running latest, sim update 5 + hot fix.


    Scenery looks beautiful during the day especially sunrise & sunset times. Thank you so much for making this for the community, it elevates the whole city from the default scenes.

    With all of the LOD Melbourne mods installed ie shopping centres, albert park, olympic park, plus hospitals, shrine, vLegion's Marvel, AAMI and MCG stadiums - my FS2020 slows to a standstill.

    I have a 4.7GHz clocked i5 8600K, 32GB RAM, RTX 2070 Super, Samsung Evo 970 NVMe SSD and running in 4k (required as using a 4k TV and it won't do 60Hz at anything lower and looks awful at lower resolutions). Most settings in FS2020 are set to high. Any suggestions on what will allow 3rd party scenery like this to run better?

    On it's own this runs fine but one suggestion - get rid of the awful google maps trees, If we can't have FS2020 trees then I'd rather have no trees than those.

    great version of the city... apprieciate your time and effort. FPS is more than acceptable. People need to remember this is a flight simulator and not a walking simulator of the streets of Melbourne, relax your expectations. 1000% to what we have ever had in a flight sim before. Only suggestion i can make is from a YTube vid i saw on removing the imported scenerys main roads and some smaller city blocks so that the default lights pop in, but this is a big task. Great job mate and keep them going. FIVE STARS

    When Helicopters come along you will want as much detail as possible.

    I think that when that day comes the google maps exported scenery's limitations will be laid brutally bare. It really looks terrible up close. When I fly past the buildings all the textures look appalling.

    I used to be a scenery designer, I modelled the original Liverpool UK scenery for FS back in the early 2000s. I focused on modelling the landmarks in 3DS Max as detailed as possible ensuring they were lit at night, and made autogen templates for the rest of the city. I think that if I had the time and energy these days I'd be approaching this the same way - individual landmarks and leaving FS2020 to provide trees, roads and smaller office buildings etc.

    @AussieRamboGFYS With due respect.. for someone who is ranting on about lag lag lag.. what on Earth are you doing with a 1060??? THAT is your lag issue right there ;)

    @AussieRamboGFYS Steaming on a 1060 with only 6gb VRAM with multiple addons installed in a small area is asking for trouble. Even I was getting issues once I started getting everything as most have not implemented LODs. I have now upgraded everything I have released for Melb with LODs except station pier and the cut-down Melb. I won't be making another addon without LODs.

    @antonyroma That is the point of LOD to optimize on the fly! It won't load unplayable texture, only the amount your video card can support. Same happens with the 3d cities that are already on the game, not sure if cracked version load 3d cities. those look even uglier like piramids from far away

    @AussieRamboGFYS 3d cities from the game how are working for you? (big cities) there are plenty versions to try for Melbourne city (with those will die instantly) Search on youtube how to optimize your graphic settings. you should be getting 25-30 fps with medium-high, i get 40fps with 1070 and with texture resolution at ultra and 2k monitor

    Thank you. FPS are now quite good, but buildings shapes change while flying over them. Please add some night light on skyscrapers
