The developers at Airworthy Designs have done a fantastic job at recreating the Princess Juliana International Airport on the island of Sint Maarten. In my opinion, this airport is the best rendition of the island available on the MSFS market and far superior to the Asobo/Microsoft/Gaya free version included with MSFS. I highly recommend you to purchase this scenery !

However, this scenery has 3 major flaws:

- the gates and airport layout are very poorly optimized for AI traffic

- there are too many redundant static aircrafts

- the scenery depicts the airport and its suroundings as they were BEFORE hurricane Irma in 2017.

For this reason, I decided to update the airport myself to make it more actual by removing some old buildings destroyed after Irma and adding new ones like the beautiful Morgan Hotel present in the Microsoft default scenery.

Then, I also removed plenty of static aircrafts, added 6 new parkings (2 for private jets, 2 for cargo, 1 at the Winair ramp and 1 at Sxm Airways/Windward Express ramp). If you are using an external traffic system like AIG for example, provioded that you have all the required airlines installed, this mod offers the best variety and quantity of traffic compared to all other mods or sceneries for TNCM available on the market ! It is fully optimized as I resized all the existing gates and parking so the correct aircrafts can park where they should park.

MSFS 2020 / MSFS 2024

VERY IMPORTANT : before installing  this mod, you need to have the AWD Sint Maarten and Grand Case scenery V1.5.0 (really make sure that you have 1.5.0 and not 1.4.1) already installed in your Community folder and make sure also that the Microsoft version of TNCM is uninstalled/disabled from your content manager (2020) / library (2024) . Otherwise this mod won't work.

Finally, although Airworthy Designs didn't officially communicate on the compatibility of their scenery with MSFS 2024, it looks like it is working just fine. So is my mod. Just try for yourself, but I won't offer any support.
