    Beschreibung

    FSTrAk is a modern flight tracker and logbook for MSFS.

    FSTtAk aims to be a no-frills, install-and-let-it-run experience - as it requires no manual intervention. FSTrAk monitors your simulator silently and will detect when a flight is started, track it on a map, and persist it to a local database when it is complete.

    Installation

    FSTRaK Desktop App

    Download the latest release zip from flightsim.to or GitHub Releases.

    Run the installer included in the zip. FSTRaK installs to %LocalAppData%\Programs\FSTRaK by default.

    Launch FSTRaK. It will connect to MSFS automatically when the simulator is running — no configuration needed.

    MSFS In-Sim Moving Map Panel and EFB app (optional)

    Adds a moving map toolbar panel and an EFB app inside MSFS 2024 that mirrors your FSTRaK map, shows live ATC coverage, and tracks your aircraft position.

    Locate the addon folders in the zip. They are named fstrak-ingame-panel and fstrak-efb-app, and sit alongside the FSTRaK installer.

    Copy both or one of them into your MSFS 2024 Community folder:

    • Microsoft Store / Xbox App: %LocalAppData%\Packages\Microsoft.FlightSimulator_8wekyb3d8bbwe\LocalCache\Packages\Community
    • Steam: %AppData%\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Packages\Community

    Restart MSFS 2024. The FSTRaK Moving Map icon will appear in the in-sim toolbar.

    Start FSTRaK on the same PC before launching the panel. The panel displays a "FSTRaK is not running" message if FSTRaK is not reachable.

    Database

    FSTrAk saves the data as an sqlite database called FSTrAk.db at your %appdata% folder (usually C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\FSTRaK).
    You can backup this file. Although upgrading and uninstalling does not delete this folder, I recommend backing up the file from time to time.

    • Option (default) to save only complete flights - i.e. flight ended in parking states, with engines off and parking breaks, after having flown

    • FAA/DFS/Israel AIP charts
    • TopPlus Open (BFK)
    • Live flight tracking with a moving map
    • Display VATSIM and IVAO pilots and ATC
    • Statistics (most used aircraft, most used airlines, average and max payload, distance, etc.)
    • Dark Mode

    That is incorrect. There are a Setup.exe and a cab file. Extract and run them.

    Hi, does this version now show AI aircraft? It's just interesting to see AI on the map when you can see them visually in the sim.

    Hello,
    today i have installed the newest version of your wonderful program. But the FSTRAKMoving map shows me only a white screen and the EFB part only a black screen. Any hints to fix this problem. the main program works fine.

    Not in the both MSFS2024 apps, but the main program outside works fine. my community folder is not on drive C. maybe it would help if your prrogram would offer the option to customise the own community path, i guess

    There is no need - run it and enable the server mode, then access it with a browser at the port it exposes http://localhost:7645/panel

    The app has to run on the pc running MSFS to get the integration.

    New Features: - Touchdown G Force The peak G force at touchdown is now captured and shown in the flight details and the landing event popup. Landings are scored on the worst of the vertical-speed (FPM) rating and the G-force rating, so a flat-but-hard slam no longer scores as a greaser. Older flights without G data simply show no G value. - Edit Flight Airports A new Edit Flight option in the logbook context menu lets you correct a flight's departure and arrival airports — useful when the automatic nearest-airport detection picks a neighboring field. The editor suggests the airports closest to where the flight actually started and ended (with distances), and also accepts any airport ident code, validated against the airport database. - Bounce and Settle-Back Protection Landing measurements are now protected against transient ground contacts: A brief settle-back onto the runway within 5 seconds of liftoff is no longer logged as a landing. Touchdowns within 5 seconds of each other are merged into a single landing event that keeps the worst vertical speed and the peak G force across all touchdowns, so a bounced landing is scored on its hardest impact instead of producing duplicate landing events. Improvements: - Statistics charts: mouse-wheel zoom and drag panning on the flights-per-period and landing-rate charts - Statistics timeline now continuous on a true date axis — periods without flights show as gaps instead of being compressed out - Landing score details now show the touchdown vertical speed and G force - Landing-rate histogram and average landing V/S no longer skewed by flights without a recorded landing - The log records the G force at the touchdown instant and the peak within the two-second window - EFB app: packaging metadata fix and dependency security updates
