    Hawker Hunter 2-seater package for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS) v1.0

    Thankyou for taking the time to download this package. Please read the notes below.

    This model is for Microsoft Flight Simulator (MSFS2020) ONLY, and will not work in earlier versions of Flight Simulator.

    Installation:
    Unzip to a temporary folder then copy the "dg-hawker-huntert" into your MSFS community folder.

    Package contains 6 different marks, and a total of 17 paint schemes.
    Fully MSFS native, with Wwise sound pack.

    The models can have different drop tank options:

    Clean (Internal fuel only)
    Inner 100g tanks
    Inner & outer 100g tanks


    Note! These capacities are Imperial Gallons, not US gallons as used by the sim. See below for adding fuel.

    To display the tanks the payload stations must have the correct weight:

    155lbs (70kg) - pylon only
    160lbs (72kg) - pylon with 100g tank

    Fuel must be set to suit in the payload editor:

    Inner 100g tanks - Fill to 120g
    Inner & outer 100g tanks - Fill to 240g

    The fuel gauges and tooltips in the cockpit are calibrated for AVTAG fuel which has a different density to Jet-A as used in the sim, so will show different values to the in-sim payload editor.

    A selection of preset stores options can be selected using the RP Selector switch in the cockpit while the aircraft is on the ground with the parking brake set.
    The options are: Clean, Inner tanks, Inner tanks with outer empty pylons, Inner and outer tanks.

    What's the deal with the XL611, XF995 and XL568 (says ui_createdby="SpatialPro" for these three in aircraft.cfg). None of these three textures seem to work properly. The rest of them work splendidly.

    Just for info, this loads into MSFS2024 and will fly, but the textures are broken.

    Thank you so much for this Dave. I've been a fan of yours for many years.
    Its a credit too you, that this model has kept up with all Simulation evolution.

    Just tested this magnificent plane in msfs2024 and am glad to report that it works pretty well.
    Only the liveries show up as single planes, not as variations of the same plane, fuel loading in the tablet is a bit funky and the tooltips are only partially working for me. Would be amazing if these things could be updated, but even in its current state its amazing to fly through the swiss alps in this machine.

    Hi Dave - delighted with the two Hunter downloads. However one small problem I have encountered concerns the use of the Mission Changer App. When trying to do the "Read" function it stops on the T7 T66B Royal Jordanian version and goes no further. MSFS sees it as a T66B but my Community folder shows it as a T66. Not sure why Mission Changer is unable to load this aircraft. I have tried changing various files in Community but ended up deleting the Trainer and reloading it to get back to your original files. Not sure what you might be able to do but would appreciate any thoughts and assistance.

    Hi, I'm not familiar with that app, so I'm not sure what's going on. I don't see a reason why it can't read the T66. You could try temporarily changing the 'Model="T66"' line in the aircraft.cfg to say T68 instead, that'll point it toward the Swiss model, just to see if that loads. If it does, then the problem may be with the T66 model itself.

    Hi, I've found the problem. The are two missing " symbols in the aircraft.cfg entry for the Jordanian T66. There should be one at the end of the Title="Hawker Hunter T66B Royal Jordanian Air Force" line, and one at the end of the Texture="RJAF"
    Sorry about that, my mistake.

    Dave - problem solved. I added the " where necessary but this was not the cause. Not sure how but the T7 folder was duplicated in the Community folder. Having deleted the duplicates (in strangest alphabetical files!) the Mission Changer programme works perfectly. Tks for the Bluebirds in the [Loading]!

    This hunter is a really good model, and the quality is amazing. Im just wondering if there is a way to replace the heading/CDI with the more modern one from the single seats? (I know its unrealistic, I just find the old one harder to follow especially for TACANs)

    Amazing. Incredible job. I cant believe this is free. Better than nearly all payware outright. Full AP function with Multi Panel. Probably able to control from cockpit but not tried.

    Wallis WA116 Autogyro "Little Nellie" as featured in the James Bond film "You Only Live Twice" As MSFS doesn't support autogyros natively, at the moment the flight dynamics are based off the default  XCub, tweaked to suit. If anybody can improve the flight dynamics, please be my guest! Starter and fuel pump switches are included on the panel to make life easier, although they would not be there on the real aircraft. Missiles, guns, flame throwers and rockets are inop for now, but hopefully that will change in future updates.
