    I have done a complete remake of Shoreham by Sea, releasing this one as Shoreham by Sea V2

    Over it's predecessor, the improvements made are the following
    • Optimized for better peformance
    • Optimzed for faster loading times
    • Colour corrected to better blend with surrounding scenery
    • Hand placed additional 3000+ extra points of night lighting
    • Fixed airport elevation issues
    • Added additional scenery, Worthing

    I created this scenery quite some time ago and would imagine there would be some terraforming issues as well as photogrammetry over lapping. This was one of my first, so the airport vicinity is within more than one folder... if I had made this today, I would have approached it much differently.


    Sadly, I am out of developing for a while due to my PC being stolen and lost everything.

    No it does not crash. Just a few terraforming and overlap issues as John explained. Not that much really and only particularly noticeable around the rail bridge and just south of it. I can live with it, its not that noticeable unless you go looking.

    @John_Lovell Very sad to hear about your PC being stolen 😱 I wondered why you had been so quiet lately. I do hope you had backups of your work somewhere safe.

    You could try the 'inibuilds' patch I made.... I cleared out some of the photogrammetry around the airport and flattened the terraforming

    Yeah, I was on a role and had so many to release, San Francisco, Nuevo Vallarta, Bournemouth and many more... but alas, all gone.

    I am determined to be back soon once I get a new PC

    I havent tried it with the freeware.. I dont think this was developed when I made this.. I will try it and see if I can make a compatibility patch

    Oh wow... if its anything to go by with his Gatwick mod which is incredible, I think I really need to look into this to make these compatible

    With the recent Sim updates I figured it was time to revisit the South Coast and give a little performance update.     Looking at this scenery now, I think I can squeeze more out of it since when I made it and new tech I have learned. Think it's time for a revisit and expand it to Brighton!

    Excellent work, thanks very much John! I have a slight issue, using the inbuilds hotfix. I think you have removed Lancing College to make way for their model. But it looks a bit silly surrounded by flat buildings. Is it possible to exclude Inbuilds College and have that are covered by photogrammetry?

    Just downloaded and installed, MSFS loads and try and start a flight from Shoreham airport, I watch in task manager as my PCs memory is used up, at just over 20GB MSFS silently crashes to desktop. ( I have 24gb memory in total ). I tried twice, same result. This content is just under 9gb in total size(on disk). I do have the full UK update installed.
    This is big shame as I live very close and my daughter lives almost a stones throw from Shoreham airport.

    Maybe a way around this will be to increase your page file size?

    As this is a very large scenery, it is very RAM intensive. However, you dont have to have all the folders active.. though you will miss out certain elements of scenery. Maybe disable folders 8 and 9 Worthing area if the page file thing does not work
