Hi, first thansk for your comment. What Manual are you using. I got a 1974/194 revised manual for the 58/58a and there it states in the Normal Operating Section - 25° rich side. It states that operating on the lean side shoud not be performed in any case. Besides that - I doubt the sim is detailed enough, that it makes a difference int he first place^^.Cheers

I was referring to the manual that came with the plane in the Black Square folder (which is very detailed). I usually try to fly the plane as the developer intended. I was also unaware of any real world manuals; however, I am not surprised an older manual would suggest staying on the rich side, of course, without the benefit of having newer equipment on board, like the additional JPI EDM-760. I thought that it was discovered recently that LOPing properly not only made for significant fuel savings, but longer engine life due to cleaner oil and lower cylinder head temperatures IRL. While the sim may not be detailed enough to simulate every aspect of leaning, this mod is pretty good at simulating real world procedures (again, so I thought). Anyways, it is not a big deal, as I can make the corrections myself. Thank you for your reply...

I agree, that sometimes the manual is one thing and the experience and handling of an aircraft in real life is another thing. I will keep this in mind though.Cheers
