    Jacksonville Executive (KCRG) Default Airport Improvements - Image 1

    Beschreibung

    This is a improvement for the Default KCRG. No custom buildings, It uses all existing buildings, or replaces them with generic buildings. All parking spots are correctly placed and named. All taxiways given their correct designations, and signs placed for them. Lights placed for the Ramps, Runways and taxiways retextured to more closely match the real airport. RWY23 Markings offset just like they are IRL.

    NOTE:

    There currently seems to be an Issue with small buildings spawning on the North, East, and South areas of the airport for several miles around the airport. Unfortunatley this seems to be an issue with MSFS. Im able to remove the buildings with a Polygon set to kill "Detected Buildings" Which means the sims AI that draws buildings is detecting buildings where none exist for some reason. I cant fix this issue, but I have placed a poly with the above mentioned settings around the airport. This will prevent the buildings from spawning on or around the airport. Thats the best i can do.

    Download V1.1.1 or better for this fix!

     

    Install/Uninstall
    • Extract the ZIP file to a temp location (desktop for example)
    • Inside the extracted folder, locate the "filename" folder; And place it in your community folder.
    • Start the game and select KCRG as a departure airport

    To uninstall simply delete the "despamods-kcrg-improvments" Folder from your community folder!

    Hint: If you arrive at night and want to locate a ramp with parking spots; Look for lights. All ramps with parking spots will be illuminated at night. The exception to this is the Hangars at the ATP ramp are illuminated but there are no parking spots there.

     

    Recommended Downloads

    The following are recommended sceneries to "complete" the package. They are not required, but are highly recommended!

    Dames Point Bridge
    Adds the Dames Point bridge which extends over the St Johns River near the airport. You actually pass over it when landing on RWY 14. This is necessary to complete the experience.  Link

    KCRG has just been released on the MSFS Marketplace by SPINOZA.
    The scenery is MSFS 2024 & 2020 compatible.
    Every hangar is here : even the Memorial !
    Really AWESOME !!!

    give it a try in its current form. Most of my sceneries have been reported to work in 2024 by others. I just dont mark them as 2024 compatible since i can test it myself. I dont have 2024 and my old PC can't run it. and given the state of the PC market right now it may be a bit before i can upgrade.

    Yes. But recreating the seawall may be difficult. Its on my list and I'll probably get to it eventually but i dont know when that will be.

    Airport is a great improvement. For some reason I have hundreds of small buildings scattered all over east and south of the runways. Am I maybe missing an object library and getting a default rendering of something? (posted a screen cap in user images so you can see what I'm seeing)

    No i dont think your missing anything. That happened to me the other day. Im not sure currently if its my mod or something else that borked. Im looking into it.

    Yeah its still happening with me to. Something has changed somewhere as this was not occurring when i uploaded the latest version (As you can see in the screenshots). I'll look into it this weekend and hopefully fix it. Im not currently sure whats causing it though. The buildings are spawning miles away from the airport well outside the test radius.

    Good news and Bade news, Bad news first. The buildings spawning in are not from my mod. which means i cant really fix them. They seem to be the sim detecting buildings where there are none. Good news is i can remove them with a polygon. But there are so many i can get all of them. But i can get the ones around the airport atleast.

    Thank you for this one much appreciated. Hoping someone would do Cecil Field, the big modification base. Every military real world aircraft mod from the Blue Angels to the Thunderbirds goes through this base.

    KVLD and KISM are next on my lift. Im slowly working on a KJAX scenery to. But I'll add Cicil to the list to. I was planing on doing it and KHEG at some point.

    Is it possible you can have parked military aircraft at Cecil? Much like the military air bases that modders like Groovy is doing. Looking at Google Earth there appears to be military airliners as well parked at hangers at that airport. Anyway, just having buildings at Cecil wouldn't look much better than the default. Thanks in advance for considering this!.

    Completely rebuilt the airport to use all the techniques I have learned since making the original version. This includes, but is not limited to... o More accurate object placement o Better object selection o Custom taxiway line textures o More accurate terraforming! Add's the new Hangars south of the Craig Air Center Ramp off taxiway A3. They are not on the charts at time of writing but soon will be! Remove the old ANG hanger at Durkyville. That whole ramp is now a RV storage facility and is no longer part of the airport. Note: I did not re-add the massive polygon used to remove the rouge small buildings that appeared some time ago that V1.1.1 fixed. It seems whatever issue caused that has since been fixed so it's no longer needed. I can re-add it if it appears again

Taxiway signs are all placed correctly.  RWY 13-31 is removed since its closed IRL now. Ramp is illuminated at night, and all taxiways & Runways have been retextured to look more like their IRL Counterparts.
