    Beschreibung

    In my quest to build out FED and UPS hubs in anticipation of PMDG's 777, TFDi's MD11 and BB's 757, I present Ontario International Airport in Ontario CA.  Included are handcrafted blender models of the new FED facility, the old FED facility, the UPS facility, JettPro Line Maintenance facility, ATC Tower and airport fire HQ.  Each model utilizes PBR textures.  Also added new ground textures, night lighting and various airport objects throughout the airport.  Also replaced numerous AI buildings with closely matching library assets.  Commercial passenger terminals are not modeled, but I plan on circling back to them in the future (edit: since this scenery package has proven to not be very popular with the community for some reason, I will not be spending time modeling the passenger terminals.)

    V1.1 (MSFS2024) - Fixed various ground texture errors.  Fixed lighting on FDX and UPS ramps.  Complete re-do of all the edge and center taxi lights.

    V1.0 (MSFS2024) - Complete re-do of the field using MSFS2024 SDK and all it's improvements.  Includes new textures, new lighting, new yellow/black taxi lines, revised blender models with improved PBR textures.  Also corrected the UPS and FEDEX ramps to be more accurate to real life.  Check out my KOAK scenery package and fly the TFDi MD11F between KOAK and KONT in your prefered logistics livery... team brown or team purple.

    V3.1 (MSFS2020) - Revised FEDEX ramp area including moving entire faciilty north allowing parking spaces to also move north gaining more room for larger airplane parking, adding parking space 9, new details on building, new lighting, changes in apron textures and new details throughout.

    V3.0 (MSFS2020) - Revised for compatibility to MSFS2024.  Enlarged 1 parking spot on FED ramp to accept 777F.  Added new ground texture details around FEDEX facility.

    V2.1.1 (MSFS2020) - Cleaned up some ground texture issues.  Added 3D trees under the approaches to RW26R/L

    V2.1 (MSFS2020)- Added additional details, taxiway edge lighting and assigned parking spaces (by airline)

    V2.0.1 (MSFS2020) - Added animated runway hold short lighting and wigwag lights.  Fixed a couple of errors in V2.0 including some ground textures and two taxiway signs.

    V2.0 (MSFS2020) - Complete re-do of all parking spots, runways, taxiways, taxiway signs and ground textures.  Lots more details added throughout, including filling out the Amazon shipping area.

    V1.01 (MSFS2020) - Added ground textures and clutter.  Cleaned up textures.

    Only usable for freight ops. Pax terminal not modelled / improved. If you fly freight, you might enjoy this but if you fly passenger flgihts into KONT, give this one a miss as nothing has been done in that regard.

    You are correct, as I've described in the description. It's pretty weak sauce to rate something on features that are not included by design.

    But it's your choice not to have included them, and that's what I'm rating. It's not exactly typical to portray an airport and completely omit the entire passenger terminal and facilities. In my opinion that's the wrong call, and that is what I am rating. I gave 3 stars for the good work on the freight side, but how many simmers do you think ONLY simulate freight flying in MSFS? And would be happy with a major airport that excludes the passenger facilities? Sorry that you are upset. I like to keep my ratings honest, for the benefit of other users.

    "only usable for freight ops" is an incorrect statement. You can fly PAX ops into the stock terminal. I also did alot of work on the GA side of the field with custom blender models. As far as "not the right call" comment... I do this for free on my own time and do not accept any monetary contributions, so taking my own time for those of us who do fly mostly freight ops is better then nothing.

    With this scenery being updated for 2024, it'd be nice to see it made whole and get the passenger terminals modeled in a future update. I know initially you had no plans to do so, but you're KLGB scenery is excellent and would be nice to see this receive the same treatment.

    I hear ya. Doing a blender model of this terminal would probably be an 8hr project. Since I don't personally fly PAX airplanes into this scenery (I'm a freight dog-er), I probably won't invest that time. Plus there is a payware version out there that does have a high detail PAX model if that's your gig.

    As someone fairly new to msfs2020, I really do appreciate this project here. KONT My hometown airport. Was going to get the other option but just found this. Thank you and hope more will come in the future!

    So glad I found your work! I am also gearing up for the 777F and am looking for cargo hubs or terminals, so far on my list are KONT, KMEM, PANC, KMDT and EHAM. I dont care about the commercial terminals too much, just so there is no trees and the ramps/taxiways are correct. Can't wait to download some of your work and check it out!

    I think it may not have been "popular" because the main passenger terminal was not part of the package.

    Probably correct. But I don't fly commercial flights into this airport, so I don't have plans to take the time to model the terminals.

    I will continue to use the other KONT mod by Starseed until the passenger area is fixed. The default is SO BAD, with missing links and bushes inside the ramps. Your buildings look great, and I look forward to the passenger area being fixed.
