YKSC Kingscote Airport has been a personal project for me taking over 2years to develop in my spare time learning the craft of Blenders and fighting the MSFS SDK. This Scenery has been made for MSFS 2020 only at this stage, other platforms may be considered but not planned. The Features of this airport include a highly detailed Terminal that includes the upgrade expansion and runway extensions completed in 2018 costing 18M AUD. The terminal externals and internals have been created using very limited images from many web sources so they may not be 100% the same as real-world airport detail,

Airport Infomation

Kingscote Airport (IATA: KGC, ICAO: YKSC) is located 6.5 nautical miles (12.0 km; 7.5 mi) southwest of Kingscote, South Australia, the main town on Kangaroo Island, in the locality of Cygnet River.  The airport is the sole airport for Kangaroo Island. Kangaroo Island is one of South Australia's most popular tourist attractions, attracting over 140,000 visitors each year, with international visitors, primarily from Europe, accounting for more than 25% of these visits.

Installation Instructions

Unzip the file and place it in a temporary location e.g. desktop and then copy the folder "hsa-kingscote-southaustralia-yksc" into your community Folder.

MSFS Settings Recommendations

World Update 7 - Australia Scenery Pack has been installed from the Content Manager

Please remove any duplicated Kingscote Airports from other developers within your community folder

MSFS Compatibility

PC ONLY !! NOT compatible with Xbox

MSFS Version 1.34.16.0 SU13

BUGS !!!

I have not tested with any 3rd party addons for MSFS with this airport so they may or may not work with this airport.

If there are any bugs or any items not correct please message me and I will resolve them ASAP.

Known issues

These will be rectified after the next sim update

Some Terraforming defects may be present with the stormwater drains around the airport, until MSFS resolves this I can't do much about it. Sorry

YKSC is now a STAR Airport - Fixed with version 1.12.0

Multiple visible Fuel stations - Fixed with version 1.12.1
