    * Although the apron layout of this addon is quite outdated, it will not be further updated since there has been payware counterpart available *

    * The apron lamps are "borrowed" from the stock Kai Tak Airport with SU11. If you have uninstalled that package, the apron lamps will get failed to work. *

    Hazrat Shahjalal Intl. Airport is one of the most frequently used airport for my live game-play to Paro Airport of Bhutan, as it only takes only about 45 mins to complete the flight (the other one is Tribhuvan Intl. Airport in Kathmandu), but the built-in autogen airport just looks awful, while some of the taxiway edge line are drawn flipped and AI civil aircraft come from the military part of the airport. Although it is quite a big project for me, I decided to make a handcrafted one for it.

    The addon basically delivers these enhancements compared with the built-in one:

    • Simple handcrafted buildings:
      • Passenger terminal complex (T1/T2/Domestic)
      • VIP terminal
      • Airport Masjid
      • Airport fire station
      • Operation building with ATC tower
      • Biman Bangladesh hangar
      • Biman Bangladesh headquarters
      • Main cargo terminals (Biman Cargo Complex and Biman Cargo Village)
    • Additional details for airport garden and car parkings
    • A precisely placed runway, with calibrated ILS localizers
    • Remade taxiway system, with corrected taxiway names as documented (however there are some new taxiways not mentioned in official airport diagram)
    • Taxiway signs
    • Handcrafted paint elements, including custom taxiway edges, hatched areas and parking bay number markings
    • Remade parking bays, with correct bay numbers as documented

    It is expected that this addon will be updated occassionally with respect to the progress of T3 and corresponding new apron.

    Thank you for this airport. I did some testing and found some issues. I was not able to use LOC/ILS approach for both runways. According to info I was able to find online both runways have ILS and LOC and yet I could not capture LOC neither GS and I tried PMDG 777, Asobo 78X, Horizon sim 787-9 and Bonanza V-35B. When compared to the real airport I see very different textures used for aprons and some taxiways as well at the beginning of the RWY 14 there is some rectangular pond which is not in this scenery and this scenery is missing very large terminal building which is located on the southern part of the airport. Thats why I give 3/5. If you could add/fix the LOC and ILS it would be 4/5 for me.

    I have no way to test the addon with old versions of the sim. It is now SU15 already.

    Normally the addons developed natively for MSFS are not compatible with FSX

    Thanks, ! a lot of work went into this. One suggestion, you need to improve some of the roofs texturing. It is diminish the scenery quality.

    It is already at the highest resolution that I can give at the moment. Of course it could be improved if I can get better source images

    Yes I know it is not easy to find that kind of images. It is not a question of resolution but details. You could however, if you like, enhance them with some 3D constructions for piping. Bing maps give you some satellite photos to give you an idea. You are the boss of course.
