    Uppsala
    This is a Google Maps enhancement for Uppsala. Its currently missing some of the key landmarks like the cathedral and the castle. Having lived in Uppsala i figured i try to do my best to create a better representation with the help of Google maps. I added some point of interest indicators and some lights to better light the cathedral.

    Its a bit clunky with the overlay, the terraforming part works but it gives a odd falloff, e.g. its very visible where the enhancement ends. I don't really know how to fix that without having to go into Blender and do a lot more adjustments. If anyone has suggestions id be happy to take them into account.

    Fantastic, I could fly around in my Bell 47 in my hometown and rekognize
    the most places. But when I try to land at the castels parking I suddenly get the scenery abowe. So if this elevation problem could be fixed I really should love it

    Cool! But it is a bit wrong in z axis. Try to land on a road and you see that it floats two meters above the ai world.

    Was it hard work? Could you do more cities? Like Karlstad.

    Looking forward to our field ESKC and ESCM. Glad you do it. Then my local aerobatics can proceed wintertime in this sim...=)

    As I live in Uppsala, I have been trying to import Uppsala from Google Earth for myself but with varied success. Your version looks (and works!) brilliantly. Thanks for making & uploading. Looks great at night too! And looks great in snow!

    stockholm feels a tad tricky, so far only kungsholmen and lilla essingen work. would love to get it in as its the city i live in :)

    Thanks for this, I also created an Uppsala scenery using google maps data, but I did not upload it because of various reasons: 1. Very ugly glitches where the enhanced area and the default meets (similar to your problem), 2. could not find a solution on how to level it with the roads so all the AI road traffic is seen, 3. it had a very big performance impact (down below 10 fps on a decent system).
    I will definitely check yours how does it compare with mine.
    I'm also making Sundbro (ESKC) airfield, which I will upload as soon as I finish it. Then the military airfield (ESCM) is also missing completely...

    Cool to hear, i think the elevation is an issue but i dunno, if you try to land it gets kind of obvious. I think youll have to do some custom terraforming to fix it. Performance seems alright for me, let me know if its bad. If yours is better please upload :) also cool youre doing the airfields, tack sa mycket! Did you get Stockholm to work? I keep getting that the decoder cant seem to understand that, if you got something working that would be great. thanks for the comment and exciting youre also working on this stuff, really feel like im missing some nordic enhancement besides the lovely oslo airport

    Yeah, I'm actually living in Uppsala and flying regularly from Sundbro (ESKC), being a pilot there. So kind of feeling obliged to do some local scenery. Sundbro is almost done (by porting an old FSX scenery, using its assets). Uppsala-Ärna (ESCM) is missing completely, that would be my next scenery.
    I will try to fix Uppsala city but it seems to be a substantial terraforming job, to which I don't have much time, unfortunately.

    It´s looks great. I didn't know that googlemaps have 3d data over Swedish cities. Thumb up!
