Benjamín Rivera Noriega Airport [TJCP] - Image 1

    Beschreibung

Culebra Airport was originally built as a military airport by the United States Marine Corps, opening in 1957. In 1965, the government of Puerto Rico began transporting civilians from San Juan to the island with legislative compensation.
Following the Navy-Culebra protests, the Puerto Rico Port Authority began administering civilian air operations in Culebra, inaugurating the first passenger terminal on October 24, 1976. The airport and its 80 acres were officially transferred to the Authority. port in 1980.
A new passenger terminal was inaugurated in 1994, and its name was changed to Benjamín Rivera Noriega, in honor of a pilot from Ciales. He has become a community leader recognized for his service to the people of Culebra. [5]
Benjamín Rivera Noriega Airport covers an area of 15 acres (6 ha) at an elevation of 49 feet (15 m) above mean sea level. It has a designated runway 13/31 with an asphalt surface measuring 2,600 x 50 feet (792 x 15 m).
The airport is known for the mountain within 1,000 feet (300 m) of the north end of the runway. This obstacle and the short runway length prevent jets from using this airport. Commercial operations are currently limited to propeller airplanes of 10 seats or less. Approaching this airport is considered good practice for pilots before taking off to Saint Barthélemy airport.

The St Thomas VOR / DME (Ident: STT) is located 16.1 nautical miles (18.5 mi) east of the airport. The Roosevelt Roads TACAN (Ident: NRR) is located 19.9 nautical miles (22.9 mi) west-southwest of the airport. [6] [7]

Hi, thanks for your scenery! I use it a lot, but unfortunatelly had to uninstall it as it causes the checkered box in MYNN issue. If possible to fix it would very appreciated!

Unfortunately all your sceneries cause a i big squared blue and white cube to appear in Nassau (MYNN). Already told you on the comments of other sceneries but you dind't upadte them, so I had to uninstall all of them. Now the cube is gone. If you ever fix the problem I download them again.

Hello I love this scenery however it causes oversized objects to appear next to the runway 14 threshold at MYNN Nassau. I know this is a Culebra scenery, but I tested with and without this scenery in my Community folder and without it the oversized objects, usually a sign or ILS house, disappear from MYNN. With this scenery installed the oversized object always appears at the runway 14 end at MYNN. Strange considering this scenery has nothing to do with that airport at all. I removed and added all other mods to and from the community folder to try and find the conflict and it always occurs with this TJCP scenery installed. Maybe due to a model library you are using in this scenery?
