Guess what: You're a happy (or not so) Beta Tester! Please, don't give bad votes or reviews because this is a WIP (work in progress) scenery! Ah, and my first at all... :-)
Background: Because I live in Leipzig, Germany and love helicopters (especially the brand new H145 Action Pack from Hype Performance Group [greetings guys!]) I decided to try to complete the (some people say) impossible task "rooftop helipad" of the "Städtische Klinikum St. Georg" (City hospital S. Georg or Sankt Georg) in my hometown for MSFS 2020. I wanted it to be a fully functional helipad with runways and parkings and - of course - an own (fictional) ICAO. EDL1, the Sankt Georg Hospital Helipad was born!
Info: The helipad has two runway starting positions (6 and 24) and one parking spot (also on 24, for cold & dark on the helipad).
I tried to create it with as less as possible dependencies and as simple as it can be. Some Blender work for unique items like the circle helipad is now integrated. So, what you have to have installed in order to make it work properly, is:
- MSFS World Update USA (comes for free with your MSFS 2020 - see freebies in the Marketplace / Content Manager) Most of you will have that installed anyway.
- EDHK Lights & Objects Developers Pack
- MSFS 2020 object library by CBJ (colinj)
Installation: Download my ZIP file, unzip it into your Community folder and get (if not already installed) the two dependencies from the links above, be sure you have the free USA world update of MSFS. There you are!
Where it is: You will find the Helipad (airport) on the map in the middle of Leipzig-Eutritzsch, on the world map search by typing ICAO code "EDL1" in the search bar and you can directly approach it from the nearby International Airport Leipzig/Halle (EDDP, 11 km away). Leipzigs city center is located 4 Kilometers south and the "Leipziger Messe" (Leipzig Trade Fair) lays around 1.5 Kilometers northeast. The beautiful city with many sightseeing spots like the "Völkerschlachtdenkmal" (Monument to the Battle of the Nations) is just around the corner.

Das ist aber dann ganz großes Kino. Da bist Du dann schnell in Payware-Qualität. Eine irre Arbeit, solche großen Areale zu "blendern".
