his is the Airbase Meiringen LSMM. Located in the heart of Switzerland. Actually near the village of Unterbach in the "Berner Highlands" (Berner Oberland) surrounded by the beautiful Swiss Alps close to Eiger Mönch and Jungfrau. Since closure of Military Airbase in Dübendorf you will see the "Fliegerstaffel 11" Tiger with their F/A-18 Hornets here. F5E Tiger and Pilatus PC-21 can also be often spotted here. See the Tiger livery at the Tower. To protect aircrafts it has unique Cavern-Hangars, use Taxiway G or H to park your plane in front of them.

This scenery is based on own pictures because the nearby Lake of Brienz is an excellent holiday spot for hiking and planespotting. Also the yearly Swiss Air Force demonstration on the Axalp makes this area unique. The "SV Service canteen" in the Fliegertreff is open for visitors and you can get a good lunch for a very reasonable swiss price. From this building you can get up to the visitor terasse.

So a good place to visit in real life.
