Let's talk bush trips. The official bush trips are fine as far as they go, but how often have you thought when flying a leg: "I wish I could tweak the weather" or maybe "I wish I could change the aircraft" or even "I wish I could change the time"? Maybe, after a few months you remember that the Alaska trip was pretty good, but you don't want to refly a leg in case it messes up your completed trip. Or maybe, like me, the trip is a blur and you'd just like to dive it somewhere and try a leg or two. Well, as they say, NOW YOU CAN! 

Here is a zip file with flight plans for each and every leg of all the official bush flights up to and including the NZ world update. Over 200 plans I think! These are to be flown as normal free flights with you in charge of aircraft model and livery, weather, time of day. You can even use ATC if you'd like to! Unzip and save anywhere on your pc. Load from the world map flight planner (space bar).

As you'll see when you first load a plan, these have been created as IFR. This is to avoid the "ghost" TIMECLIMB and DESCENT waypoints that the Asobo flight planner inserts into any VFR flight when loaded from plan, often taking you somewhere you don't want to go. If you're unfamiliar with this feature change one of the plans to VFR (line 6 of each plan), load it and then look at the Nav Log that is created. So when using these plans and If using ATC, just cancel the IFR status as soon as you get chance.

I tried the first leg of the Grand Alpine trip earlier today. I flew the first 10 minutes in a glorious sunrise, then went back in time an hour and looked down on the beautiful twinkling lights of the houses by Lake Geneva. Twenty minutes later it was midday and there was snow on the ground ..... You get the idea. Hopefully this will give us all the chance to re-fly and enhance the original experience - a sort of bush trip++. Ok you're permitted to cringe.
