    Welcome to Frankfurt International Airport | EDDF

    As there was no real contender to Asobo’s Premium Deluxe rendition of this important airport, a team around Integralo formed to develop a high-quality freeware version of Frankfurt Airport.The VirtualFRA team creates this scenery in their spare time — featuring many details for a realistic and immersive experience.

    • Living aprons with custom 3D models

    🔧 Installation

    For owners of the MSFS2020 Standard Edition:

    • Download and extract the folder.
    • Move it into your Community folder:   ...\Microsoft Flight Simulator\Community\
    • Done! You’re ready to fly.

    For MSFS 2024 Edition Users:

    • The airport works overall.
    • Some users have reported duplicated objects and terrain issues. Please check our scenery with MSFS2024 SU 6.1.
      For the best 2024 experience disable the Asobo Airport.

    For owners of the Premium Deluxe Edition:

    You can use our scenery alongside Asobo’s Premium Deluxe version.
    Some default buildings may still appear where we haven’t made replacements.

    Option 1: Installation via Installer

    Option 2: Manual Configuration

    • Go to:   ...\Community\virtualfra-eddf\scenery\airport-eddf-frankfurt\

    Rename the relevant .bgl files to .off  to disable them

    Scenery Assets for optional configuration:

    • additional static gound equipement
    • virtualFRA meets Asobo -> turn on when you're using the Premium Deleuxe Airport at the same time
    • virtualFRA Nool VDGS
    • static Asobo Aircrafts at Lufthans Technik Hangar 5 and 6

    🧹 Compatibility

    Using BlackSquare Real Taxiways Europe?

    • To avoid conflicts, delete the following file:  ...\Community\bksq-euro\scenery\global\scenery\EDDF.bgl

    Want to use Nool’s VDGS System?

    • Our scenery is compatible with Nool’s Visual Docking Guidance System.

    Hello i've used this scenery a lot but everytime i download it via flightsim.to or the FRA app i can't see any terminal buildings only the VDGS screens and the tubes how can i fix this.

    Hi, i downwloaded the scenery (MSFS 2020) but the nool VDGS does not work. but it work for other airports that are compatible

    Hey Johnathan, thanks for the information we will check this on our systems. Personally I missed it only in MSFS24 which is not fully supported yet. Please check for the latest Nool version. Please perform the internal scan with Nool for missing packages. Please check at "virtualfra-eddf\scenery\airport-eddf-frankfurt" that the file: "virtualfra-nool-vdgs.bgl" has the ending .BGL

    Hi, downloaded and insatalled the latest version (MSFS2020). But I can´t see any buldings at the new terminal 3. There seems to be also no markings for the gates on the ground. All gates are there. But thats all. Did I something wrong?

    No, you did nothing wrong. We are currently building the southern aera of the airport in blender. More details, markings and new buildings will come in the future.

    I'm trying to update to 0.16.1 with the installer, but each time after update, it tells me that the scenery is still in v0.16.0.

    Looks like we did a small mistake during export. Please check the Manifest.json for Version 0.16.10 then it's correct. I will reupload the package with the correct number in it.
