Here's an addition to the already very popular Hurricane. None other than the Messerschmitt BF109-E4.
Just in case some of you fancy a dog fight.
First Flight
The first flight by a Messerschmitt Bf109 took place in September 1935. At the time, Germany was rearming, as it cast off the restrictions imposed in the aftermath of the First World War. The creation of machines like the Bf109 was part of this rearmament.
Starting with a British Engine
At the time of the Bf109’s creation, relations between Britain and Germany were still good. Early models were therefore powered by a British engine – the Rolls-Royce Kestrel
Model E
The definitive version of the Bf109 was the model E, affectionately known as the Emil. This fast, maneuverable plane first entered service in 1938. By the start of the Second World War, around 1,000 of them were in use by the Luftwaffe.
Although alot has already gone into this project it is still work in progress.
Landing gear lever to the right and gear indicators up/down on panel.
Canopy not working yet. Bit awkward as it flips up as opposed to slide. But will try. All consctructive comments welcome.
Enjoy
UPDATE:1.1
Well here you go chaps! First update.
Numerous suggestion mainly about the scale/flaps and speed. So I have touched on all three.
I have rescaled the model to what I think is suitable. Increased speed considerably,
adjusted flaps and redone the anim for certain parts. Because of the rescaling I also had to readjust the pilot view .I think its better than it was but I am sure you will let me know otherwise.
Now its past my bedtime.
Good Night and be safe flying.Dont skim too many tree tops. Leave some for me.
UPDATE: 1.02
Just a few tweaks that I missed last night after rescaling.
Main updates: Speed, rescaling of the whole thing. Re animation all over and re-adjusted lights and pilot view.
Small update.
UPDATE: 1.03
Added Artificial Horizon and a Fuel selector switch.
And to prevent any further debates about insignia I have replaced the tail hooked cross with the straight armed cross. And I hope thats the end of the debate about crosses. Got enough crosses to bare and dont need anymore.
Happy flying.
UPDATE: 1.04
To resolve the issue of with or without I have decided to upload 2 versions, and I pray that this will stop this bickering. Personally I think its a historical aircraft and as such should fly as it flown all those years ago. Thats just my opinion. You all have your own.
Here are 2 versions for those who do and those who don't you choose. That way everyone is happy. Its a bigger file as there are 2 versions.
There are 2 folders in the archive. One marked with and one marked without. Drill into the one you want and place that in your community folder.
UPDATE: For some reason the one with was missing the textures. Hopefully thats it sorted. Strangley enough tried to load both of them with differrent names but each time only one was showing.
However I tried them seperatley and they both now have textures.
Extract and choose the one you want.
BF109_WITH
OR
BF109_WITHOUT.
Hopefully put to bed. Friggin nightmare.
UPDATE:1.06
Couple of small changes.
1: Added Battery, Avionics and Altenator, so now you have cold start.
Also Elevator Trim wheel now working as is the canopy.
Adjusted Fuel lever switch to right settings.
As usual there are 2 packages in one. One with and one without swastica. So you have a choice.
UPDATE 1.07
Some minor changes.
The Canopy was not working right. Although it is supposed to open to the side of the aircraft, in the sim it is not practical as you can't fly with a canopy hanging over the side. So for this reason I have changed it to slide behind the pilot. I think it works better and you can fly with the canopy open all day long.
I also moved the Lever gear and the lever flaps to the dash for better accessability.

Just downloaded this plane, it may not be supported anymore but it looks like fun.
I am confused as to why I would get a NSFW content, some players my find this content offensive or inappropriate...that the heck is that all about.

I'm guessing it's because of the swastika on the tail..

Junkers JU87 Stuka Dive Bomber
The Junkers Ju 87 or Stuka (from Sturzkampfflugzeug, "dive bomber") was a German dive bomber and ground-attack aircraft. Designed by Hermann Pohlmann, it first flew in 1935. The Ju 87 made its combat debut in 1937 with the Luftwaffe's Condor Legion during the Spanish Civil War of 1936–1939 and served the Axis in World War II from beginning to end (1939–1945). The aircraft is easily recognisable by its inverted gull wings and fixed spatted undercarriage. Upon the leading edges of its faired main gear legs were mounted ram-air sirens known as Jericho trumpets [de], which became a propaganda symbol of German air power and of the so-called Blitzkrieg victories of 1939–1942, as well as providing Stuka pilots with audible feedback as to speed. The Stuka's design included several innovations, including automatic pull-up dive brakes under both wings to ensure that the aircraft recovered from its attack dive even if the pilot blacked out from the high g-forces.
