Update 03/06/22.
A little update for this scenery since some textures stopped working with sim update 9. I've completely removed the cliff textures that were causing an issue. I've also slightly altered the helipad area and I've removed all cars from the scnery, as cars aren't allowed in Murren in real life. Its also now possible to do a cold and dark start from the helipad.
I've also added four rescue mission sceneries dotted around the Eiger area. They're marked with POI markers so you can easily find them. The crashed plane is on the glacier behind the Eiger. The car crash is in the valley beneath Murren. You should find the other two easily enough. There's a theme for each rescue.
To instal unzip the main folder and then make sure you select the three folders contained inside and drop those three in your community folder.
This is a fictional heliport situated high up in the beautiful Swiss resort town of Murren. Situated close to the famous Eiger mountain Murren is perfectly positioned for starting helicopter tours of the Eiger
and surrounding Bernese alps as well as the wider area of spectuacular Swiss mountains.
The heliport is situated right on the edge of a high cliff and makes for some fantastic flying experiences in the sim. I particular recommend it in VR. I initially started this as simple little project over the Christmas holidays but it quickly develped into something more and and I've ended up creating some nice little immersive scenery to go with the heliport. Also included in this download mod is a little scenery add on for the Sphinx Observatory to give it a bit of life.

Very nice idea, the heliport in this scenery! Taking off in an ultralight or STOL is like taking off from a carrier ─ only MUCH better! :-) Especially in VR the sudden depth delivers a real adrenaline rush.
You wouldn't know of a way to improve the vertical mountain faces? It looks like the texture there is just immensely streched. I noticed that you applied four rocky 'pedestals' right under the heliport that have their custom rock texture. Probably FS2020 was not made with Murren and vertical mountain faces in mind...

Hi thanks. Yeah one of the latest sim updates has done something funny with that cliff face. I'll hopefully update it soon and just remove them entirely.

Great update, thank so much! Love the groups of animated people scaring themselves near the abyss. At first when seeing the safety fence I was shocked, too, but luckily you didn't make it solid. And terraformed the rocks to a good ramp. So I can still turn the Zenith STOL on spot 90° into a SE wind and on full power break thru the fence and jump right into Lauterbrunnental. This makes for the most scaring takeoffs, but 8 of 10 times successful. However the face of my copilot always turns pale white...
