Storstrømsbroerne, or in english, Storstroemsbridges.
The Danish Road Directory (Vejdirektoratet) is building a new Storstrømsbro whichs links Falster and Zealand, or in a bigger scale, Scandinavia to Germany and Central Europa. When finished kin 2025/26 the bridge will be the third longest bridge in Denmark, with a lenght of app. 4 kilometres. It will have electrified railway and a two lane road as well as a pedestrian and bicycle path.
As You may understand, the bridge is NOT finished yet, but thehe years being build by the Italian Joint Venture SBJV for then danish state.
This scenery consists of both the old Storstrømsbro from 1937, that for 40 yrears was the longest bridge in the world. When the new bridge will open in 2026/27 or...?, it is planned, that the old one will be demolished. But untill then, for the years to come, we will see both bridges in the area.
Installation note
If you have installed the old bridge, you should uninstall that file, as this one contains both bridges.
