    Beschreibung

    This mod enhances the Roland Laborie - Canadair CL-215 v1.0 to make it more realistic for the advanced user, mainly it adds a custom waterdrop effect, RPM control, magneto logic, manual mixture control, starter functionality, and much more. 

     

    MODIFICATIONS:

    •  RPM and CARB HEAT control
    • Waterdrop: Uses the more realistic waterdrop effect from TouchingCloud and simulates the weight of water scooped.
    • Ignition/magneto, mixture, emergency prop feather, primer, starter, ... implemented. 
    • Fuel pumps and Crossfeed realistic functionality 
    • Default cockpit cameras: Cameras.cfg remade from scratch
    • Engine fixes: Engine and prop parameters improvements 
    • Engine smoke: Corrected starting position and vector
    • Custom Cockpit textures and lighting, annunciator panels, loading stations ...
    • Adds drag when water scooping probes are deployed in water
    • Default livery thumbnails: Changed to better fit with other aircraft in MSFS  using the default style

    INSTALLATION:

    Make sure to back up your original installation! Place the contents of the unpacked archive folder in the aircraft folder (cl215-aircraft or rolandlaborie-aircraft-cl215 ), and overwrite files when asked to do so.

    • Do not use addon-linker for this mod, manually overwrite the aircraft folder.
    • If you have throttle control issues after the latest sim update change your old throttle axis to both throttle axis 1 and 2

    EXPERIMENTAL RADIAL SOUND MOD:

    To install the work in progress radial engine sounds download the additional archive and place the contents in the aircraft folder. The sound pack will only work if you installed the mod first.

    hi I used your mod on the 215 cl and it's beautiful, is there a possibility of using the same release for the 415 cl ?? (I tried the release you posted here on the discussion for the 415, but it doesn't work like in the picture, it practically gives me the release as a fine line, totally different from what it should be).
    is there a possibility to update it?

    The oil pressure is always very high, regardeless of the oil temperature.

    I love the CL215. unfortunately the original MSFS payware model is not the thing i have expected. But with Your Enhancement Mod it works and sounds tremendous. You should get half of the money I paid to RLaborie... Thanks, Many Thanks for Your effort!

    Worked fine before July update, it's now banking hard left on water scoop take off - not reaching above 80 kts. It's fine empty, just NOT OK with the added weight. Water drop also doesn't function any more. All together a really nice model and functions, shame that the update interfeared with the functionality of the aircraft. Anyone experiencing same problems?

    How's this working in the era of SU12? I've been on an Ice Pilots NWT binge and was thinking of picking up the Laborie CL-215. But definitely would want to have this mod if I'm going to fly it! :) Saw some issues reported a few months ago but wasn't sure if those were due to updates or were just specific to the user's setup. Thanks!

    I go on one of those binges ever so often myself haha.


    The poor duck has been gathering dust in the hangar for a bit too long, as most of my time has been consumed by the DC-3 lately. The latest updates by the original author caused some issues, that would need addressing, it has been a bit of a nightmare trying to make the mod work across multiple updates without sharing too many of the original files since it is a payware plane. I actually need to allot some time to get it shipshape again and bring some of the features I developed for the DC-3 to the duck, like the automatic mixture system.

    Thanks for the update! I'll hold off, and snag it if I see an update appear. Given the lack of activity on the F-8 Crusader, I would guess Roland will move to the next thing and stop making your life complicated on this one at this point. :)
