4B8 - Robertson Field Airport
Robertson Field is a small, public use airport located near the city of Hartford in south-central Connecticut. It is Connecticut's oldest airport, opened officially in 1911. It provides a single 3665x75 ft / 1117x23 m paved runway with steep drop-offs on both ends. The airport is largely used by general aviation traffic with some private charter traffic as well. Interstate Aviation is the primary FBO on the field and provides both 100LL and Jet-A fuel services.

- Resurfaced runway and ramp
- Custom 3D models for the hangars, train tracks + bridge near runway 02, other buildings on or near the airport and some miscellaneous objects
- Custom, handplaced airport markings and taxiway lights
- Added a lot of miscellaneous objects for immersion
- Realistic night lighting + removed floating street light orbs on the ramp
- Should work with AI traffic

Great scenery but I did stumble across one problem. I've never flown into this field and I noticed from a distance the elevation is very distorted and it almost looks like a mountain. Within a few miles of the field things smoothen out. This is the only field I'm seeing with this issue. I've attached a video that I've uploaded so you have something to reference. Can't say I've ever seen that happen before. Don't have the slightest clue what would cause that to happen other than maybe a sim rendering issue? I just tried and couldn't get the scenery to do that at any range out to around 30 miles.

Just got back from taking the family out. Loaded up at the field and you're right, no issues. I did however notice after I spawned at the field, if I used the drone camera and moved away from the field a good distance and snapped back to the cockpit, the aircraft would fall through the ground and come back up. I'm wondering if this is something where it happens when you fly in from another field. The flight where this occurred is after I came in from Virginia. I'll have to test this again when I have some more time to see if it's a problem after loading when coming in from some distance and not just a short hop or loading in at the field.
