Taormina is a beautiful hilltop town on the east coast of Sicily. The town is known for the Teatro Antico di Taormina, an ancient greek ampitheater which is still in use today.
Near the theatre, cliffs drop to the sea forming coves with sandy beaches, a narrow stretch of sand connects to isola bella, a tiny island and nature reserve
the mod has 3 levels of detail and the highest level is still quite low so hopefully it shouldn't be too hard on framerates but as the area covered is a whole town it is a big model.
the scenery has a Star marker POI so it will be easy to find on your world map
if you have downloaded the previous version 1.0 delete the folder "mostlyrandom-taormina" from your community folder before installing the new version.

Resolution works, I have no significant frame drops and even the color correction is nicely done.

I understand your desire to keep the strain low and performance high, but at that level of detail I'd rather stick with the stock scenery

even at this low LOD its nearly 2 million polygons, any higher and the sim would be a slideshow (the next LOD capture up from this generates over 16 million polys)

I don't know why, but your pictures look one hundred times better than mine (see screenshot if uploaded to the user gallery). Sadly, the resolution is not high. What did i do wrong? Settings to ultra, but just full HD, not 4K...

your picture hasnt uploaded to the user gallery. can you try again please. it will only look good from a distance, if you get close to the model its not going to look great, even at the low resolution of the model its still over 1.5 million polygons, so its a bit of a trade between how good it looks or tanking your FPS, if I captured the photogrammetry at a higher resolution the sim would be unplayable

Hi. For me also the colour is reddish and resolution very low. Downloaded the last version. I usually run hd scenery witout any problem.

there's weird things happening with the terraforming, when I loaded into the area today the terrain underneath was poking through the model (and is not how it looks in the scenery editor) see the pic I posted in user images, I'll investigate more why this is happening and update if I find a solution.
