Saint-Tropez is a French commune located in the department of Var in the region Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.

The walled city dominated by its citadel of the xvi th  century the fishing village at the beginning of the xx th  century , the first town liberated during the landing in Provence became from the 1950s a resort known internationally of the French Riviera Var thanks to the enthusiasm of the artists of the New Wave then of the Yéyés and finally, a resort of the European and American Jet set as tourists in search of Provençal authenticity or celebrities.
