ETM12m Crimea - Enhanced Terrain Mesh 12m for Crimea - version 2.00
This is an Enhanced Terrain Mesh ALOS PALSAR RTC 0,41 arc sec (12,50 meters). Mainly the area covered by this terrain mesh is related to the Crimea Peninsula.
Affected Sceneries
Any large Payware and Freeware Airport I could think of, has been excluded from the mesh. So hopefully the glitches will be minimal. The coastline should be completely redesigned .... it could be the subject of a separate project.
Please report any bugs with sceneries or airports and I will see what I can do!

Dear virtual pilots,
After over 2,300 downloads and only 34 likes (1.5%), I have decided to temporarily suspend the download of this scenario. Not out of controversy, but for reflection.
This project was born from a deep passion for VFR flight and the desire to offer realistic and curated content to the community. However, the low response leads me to question the real interest in this type of work, which requires time, study, and dedication.

I had the exact same problem as Angel92. I believe the stuttering started to happen some 50 nm or so away from Crimea. I was approaching from the East, along Ukraine's mainland coast. It made the game unplayable. I have lots of meshes installed. This is the only one that causes this.

Actually, I just experienced the same issue with the Norway Mesh here on flightsim.to. Seems like it might be an issue with meshes in general and not yours specifically.

I report you that, following the installation of these meshes, I started getting horrible frequent visual microstutters and audio artifacting.
Uninstalling them the issue is solved.

Thanks for the report, until now I have never happened to me to have this type of problem and no one has ever reported this. The artifacts ... it could be you could have done some screen shots with the relative coordinates it would have been very useful. I can't relate these meshes to your audio issue.
The audio problem could be due to some problem with your hardware. Example what type of processor you have mounted and how much RAM you have available, your video card and how much VRAM.
Anyway, I'm glad you fixed it.

I'll try installing mesh again and hope the problem doesn't reappear.
Anyway, it was manifesting itself randomly.

Finally someone is using data from https://asf.alaska.edu/ :) You can get data on pretty much anywhere in the world there. If I might ask, how did you manage to extract the data from there? Someone messaged me wanting to know how so they can make a mesh of a specific area in Canada, but I don't know how to do it :( Also, would you be able to do this for the area around Guilin/Yangshuo, China? The data for that area is on there as well :) I hope you make more meshes using that website so it gets more exposure and more modders use it.

Hi Tse1988, sure ASF is a great resource for all other parts of the world where no other better source data is available (below 30m spatial resolution). The extraction process is a bit long and cumbersome and there is no guarantee that there are complete data for that area. So on large areas it becomes very complicated and time-consuming in terms of free time to devote. I have another project nearing at least partially ... ETM12m Angola exclave of Cabinda.

A critical stuttering problem was found in the eastern part of the ETM. Refurbishment of the entire project. Optimization of the final .bgl file.
