    UK River Elevation Fixes - Image 1

    Beschreibung

    This package fixes elevation issues with rivers across the UK, causing them to be in huge ravines due to elevation data issues. These issues were caused by the UK world update, and therefore the package is only required if you are using this update.

    Rivers Fixed:

    • River Thames between Goring and Wargrave
    • River Kennet around Hungerford

    If you find other rivers in the UK with similar issues, let me know and I'll take a look!

    Thanks for this it makes a huge improvement to the sim in the UK, especially around Reading. I only just stumbled upon this fix even though it has been around for over a year. Wish I had discovered it sooner lol.

    When your flying along in MSFS without a care in the world, totally immersed then fly into something resembling a ''Roger Dean'' album cover, it can so ruin the moment. This is very welcome friend, appreciated.

    Brilliant thank you! Being from Reading, I was immensely gutted when the UK update broke the area and turned it into the grand canyon instead of improving it. Now I can fly over my hometown again :)

    Ahh yes, you probably should. Did not think about that when changing the name. None of the changes overwrite each other though, so even if you don't I can't see it causing huge issues.

    Thanks for this and a special thank you for providing an accurate manifet.json file. This is the first one in a long time that I have not had to correct. Most just can't be bothered but if you use a program like MSFS Addons Linker the information can help with tracking versions etc.

    Great job. However it would be fab if you could fix the Kennet Canal/River around Hungerford as there are some deep ravines going on there! :)

    I've fixed the issue around Hungerford and uploaded it as an update to this file!

    I fix the elevation issues by creating polygons at the level of the terrain surrounding the ravine, and bringing the terrain inside these polygons up to that height
