    Beschreibung

    The Beriev A-50 is a russian quad-jet AWACS aircraft, based on the IL76. It is being frequently used by Russian Air Defence and is one of its key factors.

    This addon was converted from my old IL76 Addon and works natively in FS2024. I converted the old model to match FS2024 standards and it uses a B747-8I cockpit from MSFS2020 with adapted textures.

    Not compatible with MSFS2020

    It currently has 4 Liveries :

    • RF-50602
    • RF-93953
    • RF-50601
    • RF-50606

    The door can be opened with the Wing Light Switch or Keybind.

    The radar dome also spins like it should during real missions.

    Animations like some control surfaces are a work-in-progress but i will continue working on this project!

    I have fine-tuned many values to match the real-world aircraft and the start-up procedure is just like in the 747.

    Copy the main folder to your community folder and happy flying!

    Hi Folcorr, tried the model in msfs2020, the interior is perfect, but the external textures are all pink. Pity.

    That's right, because I converted the old textures to the new format, which are not compatible with MSFS2020.

    There's a mod floating around here that will convert FS2024 ktx2 down to FS2020 DDS. you'll just need to cut n past into the aitrcraft model to overwrite the textures.

    If i did that the textures would be pink in FS2024, i've tried it already.

    I have nothing conflicting with your mod, on a vanilla load, have a look at how your flight model, engines.cfg, and fuel configuration and weight balances are set up.

    Your engines are far behind the aircraft, the Wings are in completely the wrong place.

    If you require help its ok to ask, but the flight model and configs in general require a lot of work until this is in a good place.

    Ground handling is over sensitive, plane will change direction even when stopped. I pressed F1 key and it steered normally. Otherwise flight model is good. Thanks for your work on this aircraft, And keep up the good work.

    Beriev A-50 (Native Conversion)

    This add-on introduces the Beriev A-50, a Russian AWACS aircraft based on the IL-76, to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 as a native conversion. It features four detailed liveries and a functional B747-8I cockpit with adapted textures. The radar dome spins as in the real aircraft and the door is operable via the wing light switch. Some animations are still in development, with ongoing improvements planned.
